xatzhnikolaouheisenberg This series was amazing. I don't know anyone who has watched it and didn't like it, or didn't argue that it was the best series ever made. The writing is not rushed at all, the acting is perfect, but the camera work is probably one of the strongest points.Breaking Bad follows the formula of "show, don't tell". In this case, a technique that allows the viewer to experience what is happening through action and acting itself instead of plain exposition. The acting is so good and because of how good it is, you, the viewer, are able to perceive exactly how the characters feel. Every last one of the actors and actresses are excellent in their job to act. Because of the good acting, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are some of my favourite actors, and I've noticed that their acting is just as good in other productions, if not better than ever.If you didn't know already, the plot is about a Chemistry professor who decides to use his expertise by producing the world's purest crystal meth in order to insure his family's financial status after his death, using a former student of his who deals drugs. This show begins with very mildly humorous, to dark, dramatic, fairly action-y, and just downright epic the more it goes on. The seasons are not rushed, the directing is top notch. I've even read from people that the fact that it ended made them pretty much depressed. Normally I wouldn't believe that, but then, I did experience it for myself because the show is THAT good. The OST is great. Each episode even has it's own brief OST in the credits after the first season.I have heard that some don't like it, usually because of the whole hype and "WOW BREAKING BAD IS SO GREAT" fans bothering them with it. I understand that, but if you watched the show and tried to ignore them, you'd like it.If there's one word to describe this show and the main character, that word is Badass. Don't skip the opportunity to watch it.
henryshear Breaking Bad is a show about two men deciding to make crystal meth, but what is magical about the story premise is that is what it feels like watching Breaking Bad. You can not help but be hooked and want to watch more and more and more and more. Aaron Paul is phenomenal as Jesse Pinkman, Pinkman is very, very dumb, but he is so lovable and despite being a drug dealer still stands up for what is right at times. The amazing thing about Jesse Pinkman is that he clearly he has a consciousness when it comes to killing people or ruining people's lives. He does not mind when they are drug dealers, but when they are good, normal people he cares and stands up for what he believes in. Cranston is amazing as suburban husband and teacher Walter White. The audience sees White morph from a wonderful, thoughtful husband into a cruel, callous drug lord. White becomes an entirely different person and even gives himself a new name for this new persona, but I will not spoil that. The writing is absolutely superb, the only bad episode that I can remember is called "The Bug". Breaking Bad may be the best show of all time, but that has to be one of the worst episodes in the history of tv shows. Please skip that episode, but otherwise it is absolutely amazing. I watched this show for the first time at a very young age and it definitely had an impact on me as to whom is involved in the drug world and erased any curiousness I had as to how drugs would make me feel. I suggest this for teenagers, adults, or anybody who wants to watch amazing television while discouraging drug use at the same time. Breaking Bad definitely does not glorify the world of drugs, it simply states what the drug world is like. Please, please watch it, you most certainly will not regret it!
gregoryapiers I've never left a review on IMBD, this is the series that changed that! Impeccable in every way. Stunning performances throughout. I watched it only last year and am rewatching it as I type this. If you're a fan of crime drama, this is the standard to which I measure any series.
