mydogsis I'm only giving this nine stars as it is CLEARLY a DOCUMENTARY and is in the wrong entertainment category.
Michelle-654-554040 Just a note that I'm not a slave, so I don't believe in politics & the worshiping of corrupt gov't.I happen to have loved "The Good Wife," so I thought this was would be a great show as the King's produced both shows.Unfortunately the show wasn't all that great in the end & they even used some of the same music found in "The Good Wife." LOLIt seems EVERYONE who gave it a high rating ONLY saw the pilot. I watched all of the episodes. Why ANYONE would rate something after seeing only one episode is beyond me.First, I don't like stupid humor or horror, so the whole grotesque parts of the show made me turn my head, plus it was just stupid.I get that they were saying that humans on both sides of the political spectrum are braindead (and they are), but towards the end they actually swayed from that point & focused more on the romance. They touched very briefly on how corrupt mainstream media & the gov't is, & how they get away with doing terrible things because everything is hidden from the public. I wish they would have focused more on that truth & all the false flags that are played out to make people afraid, but I got the feeling they don't actually know a lot about the dirty dealings the gov't actually does, or they were told by legal that they can only go so far.I think there was supposed to be 4-5 seasons, but it got canceled after 1.Whether that's because the EVIL CORPS that run hollywood & the gov't didn't like the truth in it, or the show just wasn't good enough, I won't ever know.
benstripe I generally hate CBS, but this one has surprised me. It's entertaining and has a developing plot. For me, I'm not a big fan of the character Gustav whom I find slightly annoying and unoriginal as a character and of the intros which are a little corny. However, the intros are fairly unique which is nice. Red is definitely my favorite character both because of his legacy as Monk and because of his general qualities; he's a solid and entertaining character (easily the star of the show). As for the premise, it's relatively simple and interesting albeit slightly slow. Unlike all the other comedies on CBS, Braindead actually has decent, light humor; the sitcom garbage that CBS usually produces sickens me right to my gut. Thanks for reading.
SnoopyStyle Laurel Healy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wants to do her music documentary but she doesn't have the funding. She is forced to work for her brother Democratic Senator Luke Healy (Danny Pino). She hates politics but politics seem to be getting even dumber. The reason is that there are space bugs eating people's brains and taking over. Red Wheatus (Tony Shalhoub) leads the Republican Senate bug-brains. Gareth Ritter works for Red and falls for Laurel. Dr. Rochelle Daudier is investigating her father's death from his head exploding and connects with Laurel who was in the ambulance. Gustav Triplett is a conspiracy nut who suspects the brain eating bugs. The concept is fun, silly, and with enough edge to be compelling and dangerous. The show does try to maintain a little political balance in the beginning by making fun of both sides of the isle and politics in general. Its liberal-bias does show in the end. The production is fun and irreverent. I do have a problem with these characters. They find out that there are space bugs taking over and yet they stop at every half-hearted roadblocks thrown up in front of them. They should at least be posting it all over the net. There is a financial need to keep this little show contained story-wise. In the end, it's fun and irreverent enough to be enjoyable.
