Quincy MD with a female lead wasn't going to be easy - but after an iffy beginning, it found its stride - then fell over.I still can't quite work out what's happened to this series. It started out as rather ham-acted with a clunky script - but had a certain charm that developed well during S2 and made me watch S1 all over again ... and I enjoyed it more second time around. Then Mark Valley takes over as the male lead in S3 and is just terrible - he doesn't have the natural sympathetic/but tough guy manner required to counter Megan's abrasiveness.I loved Mark in Boston Legal - he played uptight military man turned lawyer to perfection - and with great comic timing too. But he's just not working here and I can only assume the writers brought him in to switch things around to improve ratings - and its failed.A pity given that it's one of the few CSI style shows with no gritty scenes or violence. Well worth watching - I'd buy the box-set and do a marathon run on a wet Sunday with my feet up.

In all honesty, this has got to be one of the best shows out there! The Scenarios are thoughtfully written, it is directed very well, and the stars of the show really make it work. This is way better than all the CSI shows, it makes me glued to the TV. Besides the hospital and the medical examination building, the show has other stories behind it, it has family, romance, and science all together. It even beats the Big Bang theory! I would be devastated if season 3 was canceled, because this show truly deserves to be run on television unlike the other unnecessary shows that we see.

Very like this serial and admire by Dana Delany. The serial sufficiently good describes the medical and crime problems decision. I am scientist and like that author were responsible when wrote of scenarios. Hope Kate will return her status (have nothing contrary to Curtis, but think it is time to repair the past status quo) and not fall to banal battle for authority. Question to authors - where is ex-husband of Maggie? I think that it not necessary to develop very deeply a intimacy line of Maggie and her boyfriend, it will be good to keep all at present level. Haven't something to add. I like this serial. I very like Dana Delany. Thank to authors.

it ain't no bones! a second rate attempt at something thats already been really done well. there's no future in it, but its useless American trash, so who knows.i am constantly amazed at what makes it, and what doesn't, so i guess this has as good a chance as anything else out there. I'm trying to think of something to say about this that will fill the review requirements, but there is really little to say. it's poor. it may improve with time, if it doesn't get canned after 1 series. if you haven't seen bones, you might think that this is OK. certainly not the most entertaining program I've seen this week.
