You might be wondering firstly about my review title. Well I don't often give shows / episodes a perfect 10/10 and I previously gave a 10/10 to one show but now you can make it two because I just remembered this wonderful and amazing children's show.So as a kid, I watched many shows with this being one of my favourites. Now as a 16 year old when writing this review, I'm not surprised to be honest, I still love the show to this day. All of the reviews on this seem to agree that it's an amazing children's show whilst the overall rating of 6.9/10 is kind of contradicting the reviews and is confusing.Anyway, enough of that and on to the actual show on why it's so amazing. Each episode is about teaches the children certain lessons like responsibility, friendship etc. But that might sound like an average children's show right now to you reading this 'cause the average children's show should teach kids lessons. Bear in the Big Blue House does it in such a way that it entertains kids with catchy songs to play along and of course some running gags like Shadow, Ray or Luna. The most memorable moment of any episode for me is the Luna and Bear singing the Goodbye Song segment at the end. I remember very, very well that my nanny and I sung this song all the time together and whenever I think of it these days or listen to it, I cry my tears out as the nostalgia really kills me. Where this show went I will never know. Just like many classic children shows, sadly they get washed away by new series or reruns of terrible shows which should not be the case. I'm glad that I was a kid when this was running on air, so sorry to children now watching today's crappy TV shows. It is also a very pleasant show for the child's family to watch with him / her unlike something like Dora the Explorer. Do I recommend this show? Of course, I most certainly do recommend this amazing children's show.

It still has the distinctively twisted Muppet humor. The music is great and very catchy. I never would have been able to get my toddler's teeth brushed without "Brush Brush Bree". I'm terribly sorry if the adults without their own kids can't hack it, but it beats out Barney, The Comfy Couch, and all the other tripe posing as quality children's TV. Yes, you've got the Disney touch, but still. I would watch this any day of the week, and have, over and over and over. And I must say, to paraphrase Sideshow Bob, it never made me want to vomit. At one point, I had my son's uncles (all into middle age) watching it with him, and they loved it. This from a bunch of manly, beer drinkin', football watchin' guys. And my marine corps bred husband loves it too.

Perfectly lovely. I watched this with a 2 year old girl I was nanny for, and found MYSELF enjoying it. My husband and I are looking forward to watching it along with our first child. I like that it is personal, and sweet. It teaches empathy, I love that. It is the only program I am looking forward for him to see. I have been disappointed by many of the programs around geared toward younger viewers.

I can't say enough good things about this show. It is the only children's program that consistently addresses the everyday aspects of life, such as potty training, cleaning the house, bathing, brushing one's teeth, going to school, etc. The amazing thing is how it's all done in the most entertaining way with fun songs and lots of dancing -- not an easy thing to do well. My kids absolutely love it when Bear feels the Cha Cha Cha coming on! The entire cast is extremely talented. I never hear them talking down to children as I do on many other shows. The segment with Luna is wonderful to open children's minds to contemplation -- it is so soothing. My children, now 3 and 1, have adored this show since they were old enough to hold their heads up and it's one of the few programs that I actually enjoy myself as there is a subtle humor that adults can appreciate. Most importantly, however, this is a show that actually teaches kids about real life while entertaining them and opening their imaginations. My personal favorite of all the current kids shows, and objectively speaking, one of the three best kids shows on TV. Also, the pacing is great and it does not contribute to the short attention span syndrome like so many other kids shows.
