Synopsis

Outrageous, ridiculous, and with an anarchic streak, Badults follows three flatmates on a series of adventures. Now in their late 20s, Tom, Ben and Matthew are living out the pact that they made as kids; to live together when they’re all grown up. But in truth they simply can’t act grown up - they are bad at being adults - they're Badults.

Reviews

tomcoll123 This "comedy" is beyond awful. This is my first review on here - I just felt I had to leave one as the show is so, so bad. The jokes are so bad I actually felt uncomfortable watching it. A five year old could have written them. The actors try and make up for extremely weak script (which they themselves wrote) by practically shouting their lines in an almost patronizing manner. None of the characters are likable whatsoever and they all seem pretty much identical. I believe the BBC have only given this a second series because it was squeezed in between two popular shows - and people couldn't be bothered changing channels during the wait. Awful.
arachnapheobia Before I saw the show I just saw a barrage of hate for it on Twitter and thought, might give it a miss. But then happened to catch it one night and well, it could be that my expectations were really low, it wasn't bad.The show centres around 3 flatmates who are friends since school and still haven't really grown up. Each episode is full of silly humour that is worth a laugh. You have the lovable idiot, the sensible nerdy one and the get rich quick scheming one.Sure the acting is not Oscar worthy and the plot is stupid and silly, but that's how it's meant to be. It is just a mindless comedy to watch after work when you really don't feel like putting any effort or thought. Watch, giggle and laugh and relax. When first watching it, the acting and theme reminded me a little of the IT Crowd as to how the acting is over exaggerated and the plot is ridiculous, but that really is its charm.
Jackson Booth-Millard I heard about this situation comedy on BBC Three, I knew it may turn out to be the same standard of Vicious or something, not many laughs and relies on bad language and dirtiness to get some, but I gave this a chance, and actually stuck with it. Basically it works almost the same as Men Behaving Badly, it is based on an award winning one-off sketch, three flatmates, Ben (Ben Clark) who is lazy and cheerful, Matthew (Matthew Crosby) who is geeky and often puns and Tom (Tom Parry) who often tries hair-brained schemes, they are all bad at being adults, hence the title, and we see their various attempts to get somewhere in their personal or career life. Other characters in the show include Matthew's sensible sister Rachel (EastEnder's Emer Kenny) who often visits and sometimes helps them in whatever they are up, and Rachel's boss Carabine (Jack Docherty) who is a little scary towards them. The episodes all consist of mainly banter between the friends, a fair amount of inventive bad language, crazy costumes and scenes occasionally, and ultimately childish behaviour, I admit it is not original and predictable most of the time, but I agree with a critic it is saved by the energetic performances, so all in all it is a reasonably entertaining comedy sitcom. Worth watching!
