Just humor me on this. Our male lead is Kinji Toyama, a teenage guy with a Super Saiyan mode that turns him from a somewhat timid kid to a rude 'tude badass in the blink of an eye aaaand I don't remember how he does it. He gets caught up in some sort of school (imagine, a school in an anime with teenagers) where students train to be combat specialists with guns, swords, and all a matter of man-made ways to kill thy fellow human beings. Our leading lady is Aria, a gunfighter with a slight Napolean complex that leads her to treating Kinji as her slave in name only.Aria suffers from being the standard flat-chested member of the harem and thus really doesn't lend herself to any curvaceous fan service of note. That role falls to the other members of the harem who I do not recall anything about. Though there was that one chick who turned out to be a villain but then not really but then yeah, for realsies...Starting to see why I don't remember much about it? This anime lacks originality or bombastic sci-fi/supernatural elements that usually come with the standard harem anime package. The fact that Aria isn't very well endowed means that there's no real fan service from her, gratuitous or otherwise, and the plot was lackluster enough to make me completely forget IT, too. That is to say it's not a bad show, because while I don't remember any good bits I can't recall any bad ones, either. I'd say watch it for yourself and judge it on whatever merits I've forgotten.Oh yeah, I remember that it's kind of like Angel Beats only far less depressing.

this is a decent anime, but it doesn't compare to some of the real gems around (eg. Berserk, Claymore, Basilisk)...still, its worth checking out if u into this sort of thing...Kinji goes to a Butei(?) high school that specialises in training kids to be soldiers, and they have to carry a gun and knife all the time (just like the USA! sorry :)), anyway, Kinji doesn't want to be a Butei, and is planning to quit, then he meets Aria and she wants to be his partner. Kinji is not as adept at fighting as Aria, but whenever he gets excited his blood pressure rises and he goes into hysteria mode, making him much more competent. Someone is killing Butei students and Kinji and Aria team up to find and stop this killer...not a whole lot of action, not particularly ecchi and a bit slapstick, i prefer anime a bit more adult oriented. However, it did have awesome animation, likable characters and was engaging enough to keep me watching all 12 episodes, so its better than average...

This twelve episode series, which can currently be watched legally on Funimation's YouTube channel, is fairly entertaining although I'm sure it will never be considered a classic by any stretch of the imagination. It is set in the Butei High School in Tokyo where pupils are taught various combat skills. The action starts straight away when the protagonist, Kenji, finds that his bike has had a bomb attached to it! Luckily he is rescued by fellow student Aria. We later learn two important facts about Aria; firstly she is determined to free her mother from jail and secondly that she is the great-granddaughter of legendary detective Sherlock Holmes! We later learn that her arch nemesis is none other than the great grand daughter of French master criminal Arsine Lupin. I've tried to keep spoilers to a minimum so you won't know who the villains are before they are exposed. The animation was pretty good and there were some exciting scenes early on in the series...the opening episode was great; unfortunately in the final episode it switched from being a decent action series to being a supernatural monster fight when we learn the true nature of another enemy. There is some comedy relief; Aria is fond of threatening to fill people with holes if they annoy her; which they frequently do. The characters were okay but I thought they would have done a lot more with the Holmes/Lupin connection or at least made the characters bear some behavioural resemblance to their ancestors. Overall it isn't something to seek out but it passes the time well enough. These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
