Although this show does have one con, not being scary. The pros are everything else. Meaning, I loved this show as a child, and still love it. The style and the design of the monsters are just so unique. Gabor Csupo did a good job creating and writing the show. No one could make a show better than Aaahh!!! Real Monsters! It is possible, but no one could make it in the same style as the staff of this show could do, unless they hired them. But it wouldn't be the same characters we know and love.My favorite episode is the first episode of season one, "Switching Hour." where Ickis accidentally gets switched with a human child. What was very great and predictable about this show was that it was aired the day before Halloween. It could have probably gotten kids to feel ashamed that their costumes weren't as good as the characters of "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters!".One thing that annoys me about this show is The Gromble and how the monsters seem to not have freedom in this show. They basically live in the school, like a boarding school. It seems every day of their lives they have to go to school learning about one simple thing everyday, how to scare a young child and perhaps adults. But one thing that is good is how Gregg Berger did on the voicing of this character. The Gromble's appearance and Gregg Berger's job on the character matches almost perfectly! I recommend this show for everyone, especially children and teens before this show comes off air completely, which would anger everyone.

This cartoon was one of the best created by Nickelodeon. Not only did it disgust kiddies everywhere, but it was incredibly creative. It made us wonder...what would it be like to be a monster in school? The plots revolved around three roommates/students that just happened to be monsters. You had Ickis, a monster struggling to be half the legend his father was, Krumm, a smelly and hairy little guy that carried around his own eyeballs, and my personal favorite, Oblina. She was the nerd and over-achiever of the group. The monsters studying at the observatory had to remain hidden to humans unless completing their homework by scaring them. They then reported their actions to the Gromble (the teacher of the school, and the first cross-dressing cartoon character I have ever seen) and were graded on how they assessed the situation. Unfortunately, Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm were always suffering some sort of mishap. This show was so great, and I love catching it on t.v. every know and then. This show contains a wave of nostalgia for me, and I still love it to this day.

When I was a kid of 11, in the Fall of 1994, this was my favorite show to watch. This show is about 3 monsters that go to a school to get training in scaring humans. This show came on from 1994 to 1998. Then Nickelodeon went to ridiculous nicktoons like Spongebob Squarepants, The Thornberries, Butt Ugly Martians. I was raised on Nicktoons and shows like Ren and Stimpy, the old Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Aaaah! real monsters, Angry Beavers, Clarissa explains it all, My brother and me, Hey Dude!, etc. Too bad Nickelodeon doesn't put these shows back on anymore, they put on ridiculous crap like Spongebob Squarepants, The Thornberries, Brother Gracia, etc. Nick needs to put this show and all other old Nicktoon shows on. To get the old nick shows, you have to get digital cable and it's called Nick too and Noggin. Nick too plays all those old nick toon shows and Noggin plays those old tv shows that we grew up with. Newsflash, Nickelodeon is showing aaah! real monsters, Angry Beaver and Rocko's Modern Life starting at 1:30/2:30, 2:00/3:00 and 2:30/3:30 on Sundays and I hope Nick would leave those shows alone!

Ickus is a cool rabbit like monster, who likes to scare humans along with his friends Krumm and Oblina.Ickus and Oblina however I remember best probably because of the way they looked.Ickus is black with long ears like a rabbit,a big red mouth filled with white teeth. You couldn't ever call him cute, more like evil looking.Oblina was black with white stripes, big yellow eyes, and a large red mouth also. She reminds me of a big, demonic candy cane though.Krumm, I think is a yucky green color.Either ways, hes supposed to smell bad, like rotten eggs or rotting meat.I watched this show when ever I could, because I was always busy;or not at home.Personally,I thought the show was better made than Beetlejuice, and a lot funnier. The stories and adventures he and his friends had, were far more entertaining. This is the direction Beetlejuice should've taken. While it had its moments,is wasn't enough to make the show great. It got boring after while, especially after it was toned down.Aaahh!Real Monsters! was more promising, and had more appeal. While it didn't make sense that the Neither World residents were all against Beetlejuice,(even though many were as gross and mean as he was),at least everyone wasn't against our heros in their world.Well everyone, except for maybe the b*@#$% head school monster, named Mrs Gromble.I think she looked like a large, seriously deformed insect, with four legs. Most everyone remembers about her is those red high heel shoes. And the way she mistreated Ickus and his friends all the time.I guess they were kind of the misfits in their school. And they did sometimes get into trouble. They also sometimes almost got caught by humans, while doing their tasks.I hated the fact that they killed off this show too soon.So far,a lot of crap is stuck on Nickolodeon even now.I think Mr Burton needs to take lessons from this show,if he ever makes a new series of Beetlejuice. The three monsters tried to work with each other, even if its up to no good. The skeleton and the spider never once worked with him, just against him. They were also very dull. This is no way to make a cartoon show.If I see this show anywhere being sold anywhere,I'll more than likely buy it.
