You only expect so much from a 30 minute short, so I was surprised to come away from this with the satisfied feeling you get from watching a full movie. Somehow the main characters have time to both come to life and charm. They are complicated enough to seem real, and despite neatly fitting into teen stereotypes they manage to avoid being irritating or flat. The centre of the film is a bank heist, and when it comes there is real tension. It's an old fashioned thriller - there are no explosions or car chases here but you're on the edge of your seat none the less.Add utterly convincing performances, and some beautiful camera work, and it leaves me hoping that this will reach a wide audience.
