euanjb I have never watched the TV series but i have seen this movie a lot. It is very funny until the human romance starts which is so awkward. Everybody and everything is very funny till that point and they definitely gave Yogi and Boo boo enough jokes but the Humans sadly mean this film isn't quite perfect.
paulinlong I love this film, it is so true to the original, the comic books it's great. The voices of Yogi and Boo Boo were perfect and now we go on picernics in our house, not those boring picnic things. It is good to know that there are still people in the film making world who really enter into the spirit of childhood and truth. My husband can't stop saying 'Smarter than the average bear' (which he is) and the children of the house love doing Yogi and Boo Boo's dance. If anyone thinks that this movie isn't great they've 'got a kink in their think'. That's without going into the environmental messages; explaining the danger of fireworks to your scarf if you don't take care of Health and Safety. How do you choose your best bit? The Basket Nabber 2000 designed by an advocate of Heath Robinson? The dejector dinghy? The frog mouthed turtle? Yogi trying to be an average bear and foraging? Congratulations to all involved
M MALIK starting Anna Farris.as a kid on TV cartoon network in Pakistan showed yogi bear i used to watch the cartoons all day including the sexy johnny bravo as i remember. i never seen much of it but when i saw this last year in 2012 on DVD i was surprised the makers of this film managed to provide great entertainment without loosing the touch of classic old yogi bear.since the film was made with real people & animation of yogi bear & boo boo, usually Hollywood destroys it but this is the best.plot is simple jelly-stone park is about to shut down & yogi bear is warned by park ranger to stop stealing food from people who come to jelly-stone.things goes hilarious as yogi continues his wrong doings.it includes total fun, entertainment, comedy, kids will enjoy it if you pick it up.i am not a kid but i still like good stuff.weather its movies, music, games or sports.i would like to see a sequel of this movie & fans deserves it.the only thing bad here is that it ended too soon,my rating is 6/10 yogi bear never looked so good before & yes of course Anna Farris too
policy134 Okay, I guess, if you are hung up on CGI-animated movies and will watch just about everything that's clearly made with care, at least from an animated perspective.Story-wise there is not that much to recommend and if you are totally ignorant about the original cartoon, you will probably enjoy it less as an adult. I doubt, if any kiddies have actually seen the original cartoon which was extremely boring, so this movie has got to feel more fresh. The voice actors, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake do well. Timberlake actually sounds uncannily like Don Messick. The live actors are really poor, though. I have no idea why they chose Tom Cavanaugh as Ranger Smith. They would have been better off choosing Diedrich Bader, who was in the 3D test short. Anna Faris does a little better, but I would have thought that she would have outgrown these kinds of parts by now. Anyway, the love story is extremely run-of-the-mill as usual and of course, you don't really look forward to see a love story in part-animated movie anyway. This is the second children's film that I have seen in a short time about an Eco-terrorist, the other being Cars 2. I wonder if they are trying to tell us something. Just for fun, I read a study that people in general could care less about such matters. Thank god, the movie mill cares.
