Overall, I think that this was an improvement from last year's Mania. 22 was awesome, this was just better. It had so much good and it still remains one of my favourites. The opening match was the epic Money in the Bank bout, where Mr. Kennedy defeated CM Punk, Randy Orton, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, King Booker, and Edge. Of course Kennedy was not a worthy winner, so Edge beat him for it weeks later. It was long, but sweet. 8.5/10Kane and the Great Khali was a forgettable and bad match. Glad I haven't seen it since this ppv aired. 2.5/10Next up was Chris Benoit retaining his US title against MVP. It was Benoit's last Mania before his suicide later that year. Any match featuring Chris Benoit is a match I love. 8.5/10This was around the time that the World Heavyweight Championship's value was diminishing. I don't get why they placed it in the middle on this epic night. There was a great backstory with great wrestlers for a valuable prize. So the writers must've known the match would deliver. It did deliver! Match of the night and of the year. 10/10Now we come to RVD, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, and Sabu--ECW Originals--take on Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker, and Elijah Burke--The New Breed. The Originals won in one of the best ECW moments since Vince brought it back. Vince didn't know what to do with ECW since it was not his creation, but this is an example of one of its high points. 8/10Next is the Battle of the Billionaires Hair match. This caught the biggest media attention since it involved Donald Trump. Of course Trump and Vince would not wrestle, so Trump got Bobby Lashley and Vince got Umaga to wrestle, and Stone Cold was guest referee. Awesome match! Lashley won and they actually showed Vince getting his head shaved! 10/10The second-last match saw Melina beating Ashley Massaro for the Women's Title. Not a very good match, but the lumberjills and the competitors are no longer around, so it is cool to see the old-timers back again. 7/10Now come to John Cena facing Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship. Not as good as last year's and about 10 minutes too long, but still great. 9/10Overall 8/10

This is yet another strong WrestleMania. It had a solid undercard and two great world title matches. There isn't too much to complain about.Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Mr. Kennedy vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy vs. CM Punk vs. King Booker vs. Finlay - One of the better MITB matches, in my opinion. It is remembered for the big Jeff Hardy stunt, but there were plenty of other great spots, too. A great way to start the show. Mr. Kennedy wins the briefcase. RATING: ****Kane vs. The Great Khali - A typical boring big man match, all I can say. Khali wins. RATING: *1/2United States Championship Match: Chris Benoit (c) vs. MVP - I really liked this match. It was a nice technical contest with MVP holding his own against Benoit. It was also given a good amount of time. Chris Benoit retains with a flying Headbutt. RATING: ***3/4World Heavyweight Championship Match: Batista (c) vs. The Undertaker - This was an excellent world title match. Taker and Batista have great chemistry, and they put on a powerhouse of a match. This is the first of many great matches between the two. The Undertaker wins the Championship with a Tombstone. RATING: ****The ECW Originals vs. The New Breed - A throwaway to pass the time, nothing more. The Originals win with RVD's Frogsplash. RATING: **1/2 Hair vs. Hair Match: Bobby Lashley (Trump) vs. Umaga (McMahon) with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as Special Guest Referee - Like HBK/Vince the previous year, this was an entertainment spectacle, and I enjoyed it. Bobby Lashley wins, and Vince gets his head shaved. AWESOME! RATING: ***1/4WWE Championship Match: John Cena (c) vs. Shawn Michaels - This was a fantastic main event and the best match on the show. Cena proved he belonged in the ring with Michaels in an amazing contest with many near-falls and memorable moments. Not quite as good as their epic Raw encounter later that month, but pretty close. John Cena retains his Championship with the STF. RATING: ****1/4A great WrestleMania overall, and one of the most underrated. With a lot of great stuff and only one bad match, wrestling fans should love it.RATING: B+

this was a fanctastic event, yes not all the matches were top notch but overall this was an outstanding show of athletic talent and show-stopping, jaw dropping moves! Money in the bank = not a surprise that kennedy picked up the win but it dint matter after the unbelievable display throughout the whole match 10/10Kane v Khale = poor but expected as it is impossible for khali to be carried through a match with great succession good slam from kane just a shame to see khali win 5/10USA championship = great mat wrestle with quick moves and good display of grapple holds. maybe could have had more to it but benoit delivers a great flying head butt to pick up a well earned win 7/10WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP = fantastic! great to see my favourite undertaker win and in such a well fought battle. This fight was great as many finishers did not end the match making a heart racing match which left me on the edge of my seat 10/10ecw original v ecw new breed = generally a good match, maybe not the best way to do it as it would have been good as an elimination tag match. well fought with good finishing display by winners ORIGINALS also could have been longer 7/10Battle of the billionaires = fantastic, bit of an expected result but generally a very good match with twists and turns. good to see a head being shaved! 9/10women championship = short! poor! not a great match, could have been longer, but agreeably not the worst ever! ashley should have won, shame she didn't, rematch guaranteed! 4/10WWE championship = also a fantastic match just a shame shawn michaels did not prevail as champ at the end of it!!! 10/10All in all superb ppv, WATCH IT!!

I just ordered Wrestlemania 23 today & watched it with my neighbors, & let me tell you, I was not at all disappointed. Undertaker finally winning a championship in 5 years, Cena retaining his title again & Mr. Kennedy being known now as Mr. Money In The Bank.FIRST MATCH- RANDY ORTON VS. JEFF HARDY VS. KING BOOKER W/ SHARMELL VS. EDGE VS. MATT HARDY VS. MR. KENNEDY VS. CM PUNK VS. FINLAY IN A 8 MAN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH WINNER GETS TO CHOOSE ANY TIME TO HAVE A TITLE SHOT IN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS What a smashing, shocker way to open up Wrestlemania, an 8 man ladder match. This ladder match had so many sick spots, especially when Jeff Hardy nailed a leg drop off the top off the ladder on Edge who was on a ladder himself. Both men got so hurt, that they were sent to the back by medical people. Mr. Kennedy overcomes the odds, & climbs up & grabs the briefcase, as Mr. Kennedy is known as Mr. Money In The Bank. 6/10SECOND MATCH- KANE VS. GREAT KHALI I knew this match was going to be bad, but it did pick up the pace a bit. But the shocking highlight in the match was when Kane got his hook, & hit Khali in the groin with it. Then Kane picked up the big giant & body slammed him. But Khali fought back & nailed a big slam for the win. 4/10THIRD MATCH- CHRIS BENOIT VS. MVP FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSIP Lots of great technical wrestling here, also good counters. The match was a bit slow, but there is nothing really to complain about, only if there was more time for these two 2 wrestle. Benoit makes MVP tap out to retain his WWE United STates Championship. 6/10FOURTH MATCH- BATISTA VS. UNDERTAKER FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP I can't believe that they put this match in the middle of the card, I mean it was supposed to be the main event. But this match was really great & exciting. Props to Undertaker doing a big dive from out of the ring right onto Batista. Undertaker even broke out of the Batista Bomb, while Batista broke out of the Last Ride & Chokeslam. Undertaker finally nails a Tombstone for the win & not only is 15-0 at Wrestlemania, but finally gets to win a championship for the first time in 5 years. Also thank God that Undertaker is the champion, because I cannot stand Batista as being the World Champion. 6/10FIFTH MATCH- ECW ORIGINALS {ROB VAN DAM, SABU, TOMMY DREAMER & SANDMAN} VS. NEW BREED {ELIJAH BURKE, MATT STRIKER, MARCUS DAR VON & KEVIN THORN W/ ARIEL} IN A 8 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH ECW superstars did pretty well in this match, which came as a surprise to me as ECW originally sucks. Great match in my opinion, but it needed to be a bit longer. But still great match. RVD nails a Five Star Frog Splash on Matt Striker to win. 5/10SIXTH MATCH- DONALD TRUMP {BOBBY LASHLEY FIGHTING FOR HIM} VS. VINCE MCMAHON {UMAGA W/ ARMANDO ELJANDRO ESTRADA FIGHTING FOR HIM} IN A BILLIONAIRE VS. BILLIONAIRE MATCH SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN THE BILLIONAIRE WHO'S REPRESENTATIVE LOSES WILL GET HIS HEAD SHAVED BALD Great match, really good. Stone Cold gets knocked down by Umaga, which leads to Vince & Shane McMahon to interfere as Shane nails a Van Dam Terminator on Lashley, then reveals that Shane is a referee. Just when Shane is about to count Lashley to 3, Stone Cold knocks him out. Stunners Umaga which leads to Lashley nailing him with a Spear for the win as Vince Mcmahon will get his head shaved bald. After the match Vince McMahon tries to run away, but Lashley catches him, puts him in the ring & Donald Trump & Lashley shave Vince's hair all bald in the most greatest Wrestlemania moment that I can remember. Then Stone Cold nails Donald Trump with a Stunner, before leaving. 5/10SEVENTH MATCH- MELINA VS. ASHLEY IN A LUMBERJILL MATCH FOR TE WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Okay Diva matches are boring yes, this one here is an example of how boring Diva matches are. I mean this match took like 3 minutes, didn't even go any longer. Melina wins to retain her WWE Women's Championship, although I didn't really see how. 2/10EIGHT MATCH- JOHN CENA VS. SHAWN MICHAELS FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP John Cena's entrance was him driving a cool Mustang, & slamming through the Wrestlemania arena as his entrance, really cool. Alright, the match started slow, then picked up a great pace at the end, both Cena & Michaels were busted open. Okay match, really nothing to complain about, as both these men tried to put on a great show, & successfully they did. Cena makes Michaels tap out to the STFU to retain his WWE Championship. Cena starts celebrating with fireworks all over the arena, as Wrestlemania goes off the air. 5/10Another great Wrestlemania, another Mr. Money In The Bank winner. Undertaker continues his winning Wrestlemania streak in a big way this time, winning the World Heavyweight Championship, & John Cena again retains his title in a hard match with the legendary Shawn Michaels, & Vince McMahon is now a bald billionaire, oh what am I kidding, Donald Trump is richer than McMahon. Thumbs up to another great Wrestlemania.Overall I'll give it 7/10 & a C+
