This PPV gave me mixed emotions. On the bad side however was ANOTHER Hardy vs Hardy match. They had a fantastic extreme rules match at Wrestlemania XXV which should have ended the feud. This "I quit" match was just plain weak. effectively a wrestling match with barely any use of anything extreme and a weak ending. A poor way to end the feud. The other down point was yet another time filler match between Kane and CM Punk. Weak story, if any, and a weak match. However there was yet another fantastic display (age considering) for Ricky the Dragon Steamboat in his match against Jericho (who was also very good) The 3 Championship matches were actually highly entertaining. ECW match was good apart from Jack Swagger making a ring post incident look a bit shoddy by chickening out a touch. The WWE championship was actually entertaining with a good return for Batista and the ending of the World Heavyweight championship match was a very good end to a quality match. The Santina vs Beth match/incident was a good laugh too.All in all it was clear that not enough effort went into the whole card but some solid matches made for an overall bog standard WWE PPV.

Match 1; Jack Swagger (c) vs Christian for the ECW Championship - Nice choice for an opening match to say the very least. It was the best singles match of the night. It was also the second best title match in my opinion, right behind the Last Man Standing main event. In the end Christian nails the killswitch to become ECW Champion. I really enjoy seeing him get a title push outside of TNA. A very quality match, Swagger was also looking great in this one. He will still be a major player in ECW without the title.Match 2: Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat vs Chris Jericho - Probably better than expected for most. Steamboat continues to perform at a high level for his age. The match still had some left over hatred from Wrestlemania, the fans were 100% behind Steamboat again. In the end though Jericho hit his jumping codebreaker (which is getting a little old already) for the win. They should have really given it to Steamboat this time.Match 3: Kane vs Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk - A complete waste of time. A basic time filler match. It did have one thing going for it though and that was ring psychology. CM Punk worked the arm the entire match to enable Kane from doing his signature chokeslam. Kane powered back and took it to Punk, finally landing a double handed chokeslam on him for the win. Dull match, crowd was dead.Match 4: Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy in an "I Quit" Match - This was a very good sort of match stipulation for a feud this hot in WWE. The extreme rules and stretcher matches both delivered, but this also delivered a lot on it's own. Matt and Jeff both went back and forth nailing each other with whatever they could find. Jeff in the end lays his injured brother on a table and ties him down. Then as he ascends the ladder Matt states that he is sorry and that he quits. The whole thing made the crowd a little angry at first, thinking Jeff would end up not jumping. So Matt gave a speech, tied down, of how their mother would not approve of this and how they could be the Hardy Boys all over again. We think Jeff has a change of heart, but he gets back on top of the ladder and smashes Matt through the table. Jeff finally scores the win against his brother.Match 5: "Santina" Marella vs Beth Phoenix for the Miss Wrestlemania title - The crowd was either dead or laughing extremely hard for this one. The whole Khali kiss cam, along with "Santina" admitting to being in love with J.R. was all too ridiculous. Phoenix challenges Marella to a match, and with the crowd behind "her" once again "Santina" scores the win against Beth Phoenix. The aftermath was very hit or miss.Match 6: Triple H (c), Batista & Shane McMahon vs Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase for the WWE Championship - The worst of all three titles matches. It was though better than the WWE Title match at Wrestlemania, but still very lame and boring. Batista dominated when he could and was basically out for revenge. Shane and Batista looked to be ready to turn on one another at any point, but that wasn't the case. This also proved that Rhodes & DiBiase are definitely not ready for a main event performance, they performed very stiff main event maneuvers. The crowd was dead until Orton and Triple H began to take the match to a close. In the end Orton lands an RKO and then a punt kick to Triple H. Orton then scores the three count and becomes WWE Champion for the third time. Crowd really seemed to enjoy Orton becoming Champion and Triple H being taken away injured. The second age of Orton is here.Match 7: John Cena (c) vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Last Man Standing Match - I am a little sick of seeing the Cena/Edge feud go on, but this particular match changed my mind. These two have had some hits and misses since beginning their feud in 2006. This was definitely a hit. They took the match all around the arena, which the crowd really got into. The steel steps were used countless times, along with chairs and other weapons. In the end Cena is ready to give Edge an attitude adjustment off the stage, but Big Show comes out and saves Edge from the pain. Big Show then proceeds to chokeslamming Cena through a searchlight on the stage. The crowd had a major markout moment. Then unable to make the ten count, Edge becomes World Heavweight Champion once again. Now Edge has notched nine World Championship reigns since January 2006. A very solid main event and the World Heavyweight Championship is now back on SmackDown. All in all 9/10Best Matches: Edge vs Cena/Swagger vs Christian/Hardy vs HardyWorst Matches: WWE Title Match/CM Punk vs Kane
