kellift1 Love sci-fi, love Tom Cruise. Hated the characters of the kids. If you are on the fence about whether to have kids or not. This movie could promote birth control. Especially the teenage son.Otherwise it's a pretty good movie. I've watched it a number of times. I hate the kids every time. Little Dakota does a good job. She's not quite as obnoxious as the son.

riyadhalbashiri First of all I saw this movie according to my wife's opinion. tbh I didn't think much of it, I thought it's gonna be like any movie that talks about aliens' invasion but I was wrong!! To give u a head up, I'm not the kinda guy that u can simply surprise!! but eventually I was surprised, wow is the only word I can describe my feelings after I saw the movie, is it even a word? Idk and idc. I should've guessd that its gonna be a legendary movie since it was recommended by the most beautiful girl on the planet, from the very first second of the movie I noticed a resemblance between the movie and my wife, In the movie alliens have invaded the earth using an ugly tripod machine, While my wife has invaded my heart and filled it with so much love and cuteness, really I cant imagine my life without her. Everything she touches turnes into flowers and gardens what a magnificent girl !! wait, I think I just came up with a story that is a movie material, she's latterly like what Adele's said "she looks like a movie she sounds like a song" again woowNow lets talk some side stuff I mean the movie.It starts with the amazing and well known tom cruise being a father who has separated from his wife and two kids. apparently his ex wife -the mother of his daughter and son- is a gold digger who has left him for a big fish in the city who owns a basement as the size of a Boston's football stadium. Now everything is ok till shit hits the ceiling .imagine one day your enjoying a cold one on your porch -for me a soda- and thinking about your dark ugly and terrifying future, you are just sitting there chilling and playing with your... phone till out of the blue you hear something, you go to check that shit out and you find an alien!! what!! An alien for real not a mother's made ugly halloween costume. Now tom cruise took on his shoulder the burden of taking care of his offsprings and taking them safely to their mother in Boston. The movie talks about survival, greed for living, sacrifice, and what human could do to just stay alive.It talks about how selfish human could get in order to survive. It talks about a father who feels that his being pushed away and substituted by a new guy who's playing the new father, it talks about simple human feelings needs and actions.Eventually I was really entertained and I would recommend this movie to anyone but most importantly I would like to thank my gorgeous wife, THANK YOU!! And I LOVE YOU SO MUCH .

mike-madtetje OMG! This must be the worst movie I have seen in a long, long and very long time!! The whole plot does not make any sense, the characters are not in sync with each other, Cruise is playing the worst performance of his whole career and what's with Dakota Fanning!!! She is screaming the entire time, to the point your ears will start to bleed. If I was her father, I would have thrown her out of the car or put her on that flaming train! Dear Lord, she didn't had to remember any lines, just scream, scream and scream some more. No wonder the aliens eventually gave up. She screamed them to dead. So, in short: an absolute waste of time, money and energy to make/watch and endure.

There cannot be any story in this, this is the essence of 2 worlds, one eating the other one. Nothing more. So, its perfect. Only the faces of people become so realistically scared, to an end that will make you love our blue planet as never.
