Harry Lags Walker, Texas Ranger ran for 203 episodes, from 1993 until 2001. Revolving around a tough Texas Ranger (Norris) who fights tireless to uphold the law and maintain the moral balance. Chuck Norris is his usual bad ass self. He isn't as ruthless as usual, mostly because of his Captain job and his family life with Alex (they're married and have a daughter, Angela, played by Danilee Kelly Norris), but he's still Chuck Norris and he can still kick ass. Sheree J. Wilson isn't in the movie as much as you'd expect her to be. She has an easy back and forth with Norris and it's obvious that they're comfortable with one another.Clarence Gilyard, who played Walker's partner James Trivette during the show's entire run, appears for a cameo only.I believe Gilyard's cameo is just a cameo because he had other commitments he couldn't get out of when the movie was made.I'll skip everything else, you'll just have to watch it. Now, the ending. I don't want to give away any major spoilers here, but the movie ends on a major cliffhanger that, at least at the moment, has no chance of ever being resolved. It was probably thrilling when the movie originally aired, but after all these years it's just annoying. Why the hell didn't CBS do a sequel? Why leave the show's fans in limbo over what happened? Wouldn't a sequel pay for itself after rerun airings and DVD sales? I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris and Walker, Texas Ranger fans would want a sequel.I have some issues with this, but Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire is a pretty good decent TV movie. Chuck Norris kicks ass in it, and it's just generally entertaining. It's just too bad that it didn't get a sequel and we still don't know what happened at the end. We need resolution, man. Maybe CBS will come to its senses, and give the world a real ending to the Walker, Texas Ranger story.Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire watch it as soon as you can. Rating: 8.0/10.0
weatherman5000 I must say this movie is a Mork and Mindy knock off, when watching it i got the chills, I even wet myself a little. When that Korean guy with the spiders in his neck started kicking people i was like oh my lord Asian people smell and suck cause they eat dogs all the time. Any way back on track Chuck had a somewhat terrible performance and lacked the intelligence of a regular non robotic human being. Some people would compare it to his earlier days when he was a car wash analyzer and believed in the holy ghost and the ghost of Christmas past. This movie is so bad I put my new born child in a box and left it in Mr. Norris mailbox. He can raise my kid I'm not letting him into a world where he thinks chuck Norris is a karate expert Ill let him see what that hack is like in real life for the rest of his life.
trueheart1179 I have always love walker, Texas ranger. It is a great family show about serious events. I thought the movie was excellent. I hope there is more to come. I love the fight scenes, they were awesome. The story line was exactly what to expect from Chuck Norris, excitement, controversy, suspense, drama, with a little comedy to lighten to load. Edge of your seat all the way! I don't want to give anything away. Chuck Norris must make another, the ending is killing me. Please Please let there be a sequel or comeback series airing soon. I can watch any episode or movie over and over. The show is that good. I may know what is going to happen but the show still manages to wrap you up in the suspense.
Jason Taylor I would give it a 10 for this 2 hour show. I liked the action they put in there and it showed lots of martial arts fights and those Korean guys had some speed in their arts. The sad part was that Alex got shot and we as audience don't know for sure if she died or just down unconsciously. At one time Alex got shot during a wedding and Walker wanted to ask her something (marry him) but never occurred until she stayed in the hospital a few days. Remember that show? I can't remember the name of the show right now but she did recover from that wound. Now Walker walked out of the building as soon as Alex got shot. The guy that shot her and he was in several episodes and I SERIOUSLY thought he got killed in the last season episode...didn't he? or was he acting a different character this time? Also I thought before Alex got shot, she expressed confusion because that guy that shot her came back to life or something. But then the wound appeared on TV, it was blood and then I just couldn't believe it. Walker couldn't have heard the shot from outside the building and that is why he didn't come back in quickly. I do hope that he'll come back to film a few more of Walker shows. I read the article that he said he wouldn't mind making 1 or 2 shows per year but it all depends on how much his wife and kids need him. Family is more important than anything right now especially the kids are so young and they depend on parents...Even though we as audience really would love to see Walker for another 8 years! ha...I would. He'll be in his 70's if he continued for another 8 years.....Also the good thing was that he had a new office and it looked so modern and spread out. Nice pad for CAPTAIN. Also big Windows that has great view of Downtown Dallas instead of Downtown Ft. Worth. It was time for a change and also nice Dodge Ram Hemi and other cars. It was nice change and its time to hope and pray that he'll either do another series or just another show soon.
