George Hamilton is a very good actor, which I appreciated in films like "Viva Maria!" (1965) and "Love at First Bite" (1979). Lisa Rinna is natural and believable in the role Marielle Delauney. Robert Hays is not bad too as John Taylor, the FBI agent, well, he was better in the comedy "Airplane!" (1980). Usually, the adaptations of Danielle Steel's novels are cheesy, without consistency and with not very convincing actors. This "Vanished" is an exception, is well executed, carefully directed by George Kaczender, who has experience in directing other dramas (he left us too in the tragic year 2016), well performed by all the actors. In short, worth seeing.

Lifetime shows some great TV films if you are interested in some romance and drama, this particular film held my interest because of the great acting and kept me guessing just how the story would end. George Hamilton,(Malcolm Patterson),"Off Key",'01, performed great acting abilities as a very rich young man who was married a few times and never seemed to be able to have a son. Malcolm hires Lisa Rinna,(Marielle),"Robot Wars",'93, who was looking for employment and was referred to Malcolm by her father who knew him over the years. Lisa Rinna gave a great performance and was very sexy and attractive along with the handsome tanned George Hamilton. Give it a look sometime and see if you can guess how film will END!

Lisa Rinna (who was playing Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives at the time of this filming) is magic as the tragic Marielle, who is married unhappily to a real jerk (played deliciously by George Hamilton). Too bad that no sparks fly onscreen between Rinna and a miscast Robert Hays (who portrays the detective Marielle falls for). Speaking of Robert Hays, it's so weird to see him in such a quiet, dull role. I kept expecting him to turn into Ted Striker! Anyway, one of the better Danielle Steel films, and it's also worth checking out for the beautiful Canadian locales.
