OK, I live in a box so, there are things that slip by when they are new. This drama was new in 2008. I just watched it today. I am impressed at the suspense and the thrills. The cinematography is the main part of the story. This whole thing was filmed to make you think, scare you a bit, and make you believe this is all happening in your neighborhood. I was impressed by the storyline. As it progressed I kept thinking "yeah, this is what's going to happen". Then, things would change direction. When you turn this "very cool" Suspense Thriller on, you need to finish it completely. The last couple minutes are "stand up and cheer" emotional. Ms. Lane is a completely believable, overly dedicated, seriously gutsy, FBI Agent. I liked this movie right through the credits...........See it some evening with your "Buddy", a lot of beer, snacks, and the lights dimmed. Guys and Girls should find this a great "Movie Time" night.

A ferocious retelling of the old tale of voyeurism, supplemented by the behind-glass-partitions shots. It brought to my mind the memory of Hitchcock's (The Rear Window). A good casting is waiting for you there. Diane Lane was like enthusiastic .. The guy who played the serial killer gave the traditional flat affect imprinted on serial killers' faces in movies. His methods of killing seemed to me rather complying with the social roles of his victims, for example the anti-coagulant bleeding of the naturally cold-blooded pilot and the heat lamp burning of the announcer who brings secrets to light on TV. Actually voyeurism continues till the last moment as the chat room displays comments.. It's a good movie on the whole.

Diane Lane makes a really nice interpretation in this movie. "Untraceable" is a movie which has to do with an untraceable serial killer who kills his victims live on the internet, and a FBI secret agent Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane). Diane Lane with the help of Billy Burke (Detective Eric Box) are trying to catch this serial killer who continues to kill more people. They will try to find out how he picks his victims to understand why is doing such a things.I liked this movie because it's an action - crime movie and I saw for first time such a movie, where the killer kills his victims live on the internet... Are they going to catch him or is he going to escape from them? You have to see it to learn the end of it...

Man, I'm getting tired of these serial killer flicks. Most of them these days are way too familiar: they're content to copy a CSI-style look, throw in a few nasty scenes to please gore fans, and tie things up neatly at the climax. UNTRACEABLE, a film about a serial killer who devises ingenious deaths for his victims on the internet, is no different. The 'twist' if you can call is that is that the death of each victim is tied in to how many users are logged onto the killer's website; the more users, the faster the victim dies. It's an intriguing principle, but not enough to base an entire movie around and that's what they try to do here. Diane Lane, looking tired and disinterested in the material, stars as the FBI agent investigating the crimes, but the first ten minutes offers more investigation than the rest of the film put together. I'll ignore the nepotism and pretty-boy-non-actor issues with the supporting cast members. The bad guy is anything but threatening or frightening, more like a geek who could be blown over by a strong gust of wind. The 'gore' scenes are showcased to highlight the victims' pain and rather distasteful, but they're never as explicit as in the more outrageous 'torture porn' movies. The ending, when it comes, is entirely predictable, and hinges around a contrivance that doesn't ring true. I'm sorry, but if you want to watch a decent serial killer flick you'll be better off checking out some of what South Korea's putting out at the moment.
