smatysia Not too bad of a premise, although the title sort of gives away what might better have been held back. However, none of the primary actors ever made their characters at all realistic. A big collection of unconvincing characters. Michael Madsen would have been good in Patrick Bergin's role. Bergin just didn't pull off the menace necessary for the part. Billy Dee Williams and Michael Pare weren't any better. Ashley Laurence, despite being major eye candy, couldn't make me believe the craziness she needed to portray. Overall, I can't find any good reason to recommend this film to anyone. (Okay, maybe for Ashley Laurence's brief nude scenes) It's not terrible, but it's not good. Grade: D
Scorpion Man TRIPLECROSS: MY FAVORITE FILM It never ceases to amaze me how many films feature the unmistakable Patrick Bergin slapping the living hell out of an actress with more acting talent than he, this time it is the turn of my favorite actress in the whole wide world........... Ashley "IT'S JUST A PUZZLE BOX" Laurence, it is clearly her who brings out the differences between the characters by acting scared in that way that only she can possibly accomplish. Another fine actor appearing only in the end half hour is the almost too successful James Hong the dry but funny Oriental- American who has made a staggering 200 film/TV appearances including: BLADE RUNNER, BLOODSPORT 2/3,THE GOLDEN CHILD,TANGO AND CASH and Wait Disney's MULAN. I cannot praise this film enough and would recommend it to anyone.
