True that the movie is not the best movie that you could see, but it's a good movie because creates a good teenage story. There are few big mistakes in direction, but in general, not related with the girls performance. And there are too some magnificent details, for example, the psychological background involved in such a subtle action like when Robertson is waiting to be called by the principal. Her reaction when door is opened and she stops biting her nails, is a reflex of a great direction and a great acting, or the facial expressions of Janel or Carly McKillip in almost every take... in fact, all personalities of the girls are really well defined and shows an amazing work of the director and the writer. If you focuses on the girls performance, Scout Taylor-Compton, Emily Tennant, etc., and especially on the performance of Britt Robertson (of course because she is the main character), you can see why am giving such a high score to the movie. Britt's performance deserves a 10, and drags the whole movie to that place with the help of the amazing work of the rest of the girls (10 for all the girls). Some people may love or hate her character, Chapin, and that's where it's strength of her performance. If you see her performance, and compares it with other movies, you can see how much talented and versatile actress who really she is.If you look for a simple and pretty movie in order to have a good time, this movie will accomplish the goal... if you can enjoy the skills of these young actresses.

For some reason this had a high review on Netflix so I watched it. One of the WORST movies I have forced myself through. The acting was terrible, the plot was predictable and boring, and I don't even dare you to watch it. "Chapin" was supposed to be 16... um.. are we that stupid?.. Very mad at myself for actually watching it till the end. Spoiler Alert! The water where the whole bridge jumping plot brings us to is clearly really shallow and you would have to be a quadriplegic to have drowned. Another frustrating thing about this movie everyone is supposedly partying but not one of these girls drink, smokes or does anything teens do, just a lot of catty acronyms or abbreviated snooty remarks, boring boring and just plain stupid.

I have watched a LOT of movies in my life. Good movies, great movies, bad movies, HORRIBLE movies...I love movies. This movie? Sucked. Why? Well the girls all had pretty terrible personalities...not anything to care about. Shallow, bitchy, shallow and oh, did I mention SHALLOW???Supposedly the main character is the birthday girl, but a character named Chapin steals the movie and not in a good way at ALL. She is over the top, looks WAY too young for the part, too small and cute to be as mean as she is supposed to be. When she slaps the one girl called Liza it is NOT believable in the least. The Liza girl is bigger and looks tougher/older. Maybe the casting person should have switched the actresses for their roles. Bullies aren't usually petite and have little blonde locks. As a woman who used to be a teen girl, these girls were not WORTHY of any second glances from any decent person... male or female. Just a waste of space, the movie, the characters and there you go. Don't bother watching unless you are really looking for a bad movie to watch. I'd much rather watch or have in the background, ANY SciFi channel monster movie..including Sharknado and Big Ass Spider. BIG A Spider is quite good and funny. Those characters were way more likable than these girls. Hope this helps.

This movie was sort of interesting in a way, but at the same time there was just something wrong with it.The story told in "Triple Dog" is simple and easy to follow; a group of girls get together for a sleep-over and play a dare game, where they have to perform outrageous things. Now, something puzzles me, why would these girls group together at all, there is a lot of disharmony and animosity between several of the girls, so it makes no sense really. I could understand why Even and Liza hung out, as their mom's planned for them to do so, but some of the others, well that made no sense. Why hang out with people who you can't stand. Some of the dares in the movie were actually clever and had me laughing, but some of them were a bit too outrageous as well, and I wonder who in their right mind would actually do such things, even when dared.Bear in mind that this is a teenage movie, so the cast is almost entirely all teenagers. That being said, I actually think some of them pulled off their roles quite well. Scout Taylor-Compton (playing Liza) were the most memorable of the cast, as her character was the one with most personality. I am sure that Brittany Robertson (playing Chapin) is a good actress, but wow I really got ticked off at the way her character was behaving and talking. Note that there is profanity in the movie several times, so you might take that into consideration if you are easily offended. Emily Tennant (playing Sarah) also did a rather good job with her role.Having seen the movie, I am sitting here with a sense of "was this movie really necessary?". It seems like a fairly weak plot to make a movie on. But at the same time, the way the girls interact and behave amongst each other, makes it somewhat worth it. But don't except a blockbuster and award-winning movie from "Triple Dog". For me, this movie is the type of movie you watch once and never again, it just doesn't have enough value in it for a second watching. If for nothing else, then it was worth seeing it when you saw the girls with their shaved heads. A woman shaving off her hair is courageous, so hats off for that.
