After watching this film, I'm still not sure if the title, Tormented, refers to the students of the featured High School, or the audience that had to sit through this film. Tormented is one of these films that has a deeper meaning, but it takes it's message to such extremes, that it becomes completely obsolete. Tormented is actually an anti-bullying film, that features an obese teenager, that has committed suicide after years of abuse. Instead of focusing on the ones left behind, the story instead focuses on the popular kids, who continue to "torment" the kid after he's gone, that is until his ghost shows up looking for revenge. The story isn't the worst idea I've ever heard of, but the film was so fake and over the top that it just ruined all it's credibility. Tormented features a fully functional ghost, with emotions, who gruesomely kills people. The special effects that show him as a ghost and the ridiculous amounts of kool-aid blood, were just some of the worst I've ever seen. Magic Mike's Alex Pettyfer stars as the bully and much like the rest of the cast, is far too old to be playing a high school student. Films like this are low budget, and I understand they need a person of name in order to be recognized, but I've always felt that they should cast real teenagers, and give them a chance at breaking into the business, rather than have the roles played by actors that are pushing thirty! Tormented is exactly how you'll feel as this film plays to the lowest common denominator, assuming that only ignorant people are going to watch it. They'll do things like call the victim, Shrek and show goth kids who think it's cool that he killed himself. Tormented is not funny, scary, or anything but a complete waste of time.

This movie is geared towards those between 9 and 25 which leaves me out in the cold. I found both the horror and humor in this movie tasteless but I can see whereby younger people could enjoy the humor and the horror. Being mean to a fellow classmate is never a good idea. Being mean to anybody is another bad idea. You reap what you sew is the basic theme in this movie. Bad karma is never the way to go or live. I can see this movie for a slumber party or any teenage party. Bring plenty of pizza and popcorn to eat with lots of soda to wash it down with. The kids will have a blast. You don't have to concentrate too hard with this movie. This is definitely not my type of film, but I am way too old to enjoy it.

I have just watched the horror, Tormented and found it a very poor and rubbish film. It is briefly based on a bullied teenager comes back from the dead to take revenge on his classmates. The horror-comedy failed miserably. I found it stupid how the killers' power and murders was relied on his inhaler. Although, it had an unexpected twist at the end of the film, when the police and other students think that Justine (Tuppence Middleton) had killed the other students, it still didn't improve the film at all. There are some decent moments of horror as the killer's methods of killing such as tiring the girl up to the guillotine so that she cannot escape while chopping her hands off. Moreover, the killing of Tasha (April Pearson) was also enjoyable as it was unique and didn't how Darren Mullet was going to kill her. Overall, I found it boring, uninspiring and predictable. The film was really cheesy throughout and the humour was just embarrassing. The makeup on the killer was horrific, didn't look scary at all. Although the plot seemed a good one but when the actors, script & budget came together it was terrible. I feel that you can just add this to the list of other failed horror-slasher-comedy British films.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this film. I did not set any high- expectations for this film as I knew it was a low-budget, clichéd "Slasher" film. However, I did expect more substance than what this film had.The film is about a young boy named "Darren Mullet" who commits suicide due to being bullied by his peers. This film is obviously influenced by "Friday the 13th" because Darren Mullet comes back from the dead to get his revenge on the students who "Tormented" him. There is a sub-plot surrounding the love life of two main characters named Alexis and Justine however the connection between them and Darren Mullet is that Alexis bullied him with his other friends and Justine rejected Darren without even acknowledging his existence. Therefore, the one person from the "Popular Crowd" that Darren felt was a good person told him outright that he was a "Freak" and this gave Darren no reason whatsoever to live. The film becomes even more generic by it's typical twist of an ending which is most certainly not worth the time spent watching the filmThe film accomplishes what it sets out to do which is to raise awareness for bullying through the horror and comedy elements of the film. However, it never seems to quite capture the audience and keep them engaged in the storyline, probably because it is the typical, generic horror film we have seen a thousand times before. If you are sat at home with nothing to do then it may be worth a watch to pass the time but do not consider watching this with the aim of getting your value for money.Disgruntled Cow, Moo-Moo!
