Reviews

GoMp86 I will unfortunately have to start out my review with informing readers out there to totally ignore the previous review. Of course, everybody has the right to have their own opinion, but when somebody writes a review like that - which is both irrelevant and (I quote): "Stupid, stupid, stupid!", I hope readers understand that it is not very serious. If it is indeed true what the previous review said - that "[email protected]" indeed knew one of the actors in this movie, then it is hard to deny that the quite aggressive and unfair review might have been written because of jealousy. With that said, I would like to present my view on the movie. The whole point with this movie is to look at the life of people who are a bit different, people who are not like "all others". Tommy and the others are not meant to represent the "common youth at his age" - at least not in our country. It is not very common for a _guy_ to wait with his sexual debut until after he is married in these days. In general it is a movie that touches on subjects that you just don't go around thinking about every day, and it does so in at good way, I think.I have to agree on one thing though: Ali (the foreign guy) does make the movie more fun to watch, but he also plays a part in the story. He is amongst other things responsible for an unexpected twist in the movie.I recommend this movie! Maybe it's not 10/10, but I will give it a 10 to equal the score from the "1" ebbe13 gave. (Be serious next time, will you? Thank you.)
[email protected] I believe the words "complete rubbish" sums up this move pretty good. Before actually watching it myself, I had heard much about it, generally because my old classmate is playing one of the lead characters in this movie (who? take a guess). So i thought i could give it a shot. Obviously, this proved to be a huge mistake.. Why? read on.. (yes i wrote it in like 10min so I'm not sitting next to my dictionary, nor am i from a English speaking country) *SPOILERS...............* Tommy himself represent a young boy who does not want to participate in any sexual behavior because of his religious belief. What a load of bull! Tommy does not in any way represent the common youths on his age, and his acting is so terrible that he makes me wanna apply for a actor position just to protest. It's quite obvious that 99% of the actors and actresses are doing this job for the first time, if you catch my drift.Anyway, let's jump to the story, enough picking on the people playing it. I wish i have anything great or extraordinary to comment on the story itself, but I'm afraid i have to disappoint you. The entire story flickers around Tommy (yes i know it's his movie), but the story is so thin that it makes me want to fetch my baseball bat. After screwing around with several guys, Tommys girlfriend suddenly realizes that she's really lesbian. She's really in theoretical Tommys nemesis, granted with the fact that she prejudicially lingers on sex and fu*****. Stupid, stupid, stupid! To put it this way, if this director discovers that he wants to make a sequel sometime, make sure you send me the original copy of the script first, in case i run out of toilet paper. The actors seem so stupid and cheap that i thank God that this only a film. What i consider the only light in the end of the tunnel is the foreign guy the film (yes i've unfortunately forgot his name, it's not to be a racist). He makes the film worth living through in some strange way, and unlike the other characters he shows some sort of spark throughout the film. So to round it off, my personal advice is to under any circumstance never watch this movie, it's not worth the disc it's labeled on.
