Charles Lia The awfulness of this movie is legendary. Which is the only thing legendary about the tragedy of the Titanic, let's set the record straight. Popular YouTube reviewers such as 'The Nostalgia Critic' and 'Jontron' have already immortalized all the innumerable shortcomings of this movie, so there's not much to add really. But this is one of those movies which you have to see for yourself to believe.Where to begin? This movie has so much blatant plagiarism in it I honestly don't know why Disney didn't sue the producers for copyright infringement. Probably because everybody is too ashamed to admit they've seen this travesty of an animated movie. Almost every character is a rip-off of a Disney or Don Bluth design and idea, the most obvious being the evil step-mother and step-sisters from Cinderella. Which brings me to the plot. I'm starting to regret ever starting to write this review now...If I was the teacher of a creative writing class I would show this movie to the class and advise them that this is basically what you shouldn't do when writing. Too many 'characters', a confused 'plot' (if you can call this a plot), the stupidest of anachronisms in movie history, the worst kind of 'animation' possible... the whole list would take me an hour to write. It really is that bad.If you are interested to find out why this movie is ranked one of the worst animated movies of all time check it out on YouTube. Just please, please, don't spend any form of money on this. Your time is already too much.
j-jessie-weaver This "movie" practically takes a heartbreaking disaster that happened years ago, stomps on it, spits in the faces of the people who died, then proceeds to laugh at the both of them. I have never seen a movie so atrocious, abysmal and retched, that I hope I never have to watch it again. "Titanic: The Animated Movie" is a huge example of how not to turn a historical event into a kid's cartoon.First off, the animation is incredibly horrible. I have never seen animation this lazy. Did the filmmakers' even TRY to put effort into it? No, of course, not. They were probably being just as lazy or didn't give two craps. I've watched TV shows and movies where the animation was very bad, but at least they were tolerable. This is just pathetic. The Titanic itself looks like it came out of an N64 console. A three year old could do better than these guys at animating. The characters are bland and are nothing but rip offs of characters I saw from other movies, especially Disney. Angelica and William are basically clones of Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukator from the original James Cameron film, except the "poor" and "rich" roles are flipped. There is also a family of mice that looks like Fivel's family from "An American Tail," two Dalmatians with red and blue collars, (where do you think that's from?) and various similarities which bring up one word: "Plagiarism." Not to mention, there is a rapping dog in this film. No, I am not making it up. A RAPPING DOG IN SOMETHING ABOUT THE TITANIC! Can somebody please tell me, how anyone in the right mind, thought that was a great idea? Is this movie trying to be a comedy?Comedy is something for movies that are written to be comedic, and it is not, in any way, appropriate for a historical subject . Stay away from this piece of crap. If you think this'll be a good film, think again. It is beyond insulting, the animation and editing are the worst I have ever seen, and it is bound to make you angry at your species who made this. At least, when Winsor McCoy created his silent cartoon about the Lusitania disaster, he got it right.
Madelyn Madi Crossman Who ever came up with this movie needs to be locked up in a mental facility for the rest of his/her life because no sane person could come up with this dog s***. I acknowledge that this movie isn't as bad as The legend of the Titanic is, but that still doesn't make it a good movie.... If you can even call it a movie when in fact it seems like a dream that a druggie had after getting high and then going to bed right after than a movie. It's no surprise that they ripped off James Cameron's Titanic, but it is surprising that they ripped of Disney's Cinderella and 101 Dalmatians AND Don Bluth's An American tail. I think the worst part is that at the end they all live happily ever after when in reality a happy ending was far from the truth and the rapping dog was a waste of time I mean really a rapping dog on the titanic? was somebody stoned or drunk when they came up with this who thought that would be a good idea? There was only one good moment in the movie when it ended that's it.
nick-monkton I cannot believe this beauty has opened to hatred & rage. It makes me cry just thinking about how hated this movie is. Come on lacking realism can be a GOOD thing, I love that rapping dog & someone should give him an Oscar for Best Original Song: Party Time. When So not Jack & Kate fell in love at first sight was an excellent piece of cinema & especially all those flash back scenes. I really love how they included countless comic relief characters to keep us entertained since James Cameron's Titanic never should've been a drama in the first place. After all, those "sad" moments are downright cheesy & of course that animation. It is quite possibly the best animation I have ever seen, suck on that Pixar! It is the most original movie of all time as the ugly stepsisters, two robbers & more was never thought of before & THIS FILM was the catalyst to the reason as to why most films are unoriginal as they all attempt to rip this masterpiece off.In conclusion, I consider to be the greatest thing of all time & is perfect in every way, if you haven't seen this work of art, you must! *choke* *choke*
