Should you be looking for something you can watch while needing a distraction from boring paperwork or mundane housework, that is light, fun, fast moving and so not needing to be taken seriously 'The Wedding Date' is perfect! It has the potential to rescue any viewer from cynicism and pessimism or just a bad mood. There is lovely chemistry between the leads and though the story is completely unbelievable the leads (both couples) are lovely together. This 'feel good' movie is a nice reminder that life does not need to be always serious, and while some people are simply not redeemable that is, they are not good boyfriends or partners, and can waste our time and our life, there are always other fish in the sea.

The casual irony, in addition to the pathetic plot structure makes this a 2.34/12 in book. I admit i'm guilty of being a RomCom whore but this was absolute fart. The monologue was worse than the end bits to a dusty fluff bomb. Don't watch this poop because you won't get the hour or so of your life back. I have to admit i did still cry at the end (hands over the face monkey emoji). However lets look at some of the positives; NOTHING And the negs; Well where to begin, London as a location is a joke and so mundane, try Portugal or somewhere exotic you plebeians. Secondly, the cast was a farce (LOL rhyme) the the plot needs to go down the potty (loll) and the music was rancid (rhyme x2 loll)

Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) is stressed out over the marriage between her younger half-sister Amy (Amy Adams) and Edward Fletcher-Wooten (Jack Davenport). She's afraid to run into her ex Jeffrey (Jeremy Sheffield), and she hires a male escort Nick Mercer (Dermot Mulroney) to pose as her boyfriend. It's a British comedy with a bunch of American actors. The transAtlantic jokes aren't translating that well. It has a few mildly humorous jokes, but the movie is overall a rather poor comedy. And it doesn't help that it gets so serious.Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney have limited chemistry. He's too cold, and a little dirty as a male gigolo. She's too stressed, and a little bit angry. Oddly, they're the only thing worth watching in this movie. The tone is so uneven that it really can't maintain any flow to the movie.

Story goes like this Kat Ellis (Messing), who returns to her parents' London home for her sister's wedding is afraid of confronting her ex fiancé, who dumped her two years before, she hires a male escort Nick (Mulroney) to pose as her new boyfriend. And how Kat and Nick come together forms the rest of the story.its good how the characters are introduced and interwoven. The best part is that of Dermot Mulroney. Wow, first of all he is really gorgeous. Next, his role understands women so well. I am the girl who liked Made of honor, Naughty or nice (2012), Holiday in Handcuffs. If you liked those then you will like this movie as well.
