merelyaninnuendo The To Do ListThe concept is dull, familiar and addition to that the feature completely relies upon it, walks on it and never outgrows it or offers anything more than that. The script is wafer thin and ridiculous to a point where it crosses the sense of a sketchy sequences and derails quickly in its self-created tracks. The trajectory doesn't go as far as one would imagine in fact it is fixated in a mere loop. The technical aspects too are disappointing from sound department to the editing. Maggie Carrey; the writer-director, has done a decent work on executing the premise, but the script is the real culprit in here that never had enough crisp to make it in the first place. Aubrey Plaza fits perfectly for the character projected in here and is supported well by Bill Hader. One of the major conundrum, is the stakes that are depicted, as is never able to communicate with the viewers and everything is acceptable or feasible. The To Do List is actually a not-to-do-list for the viewers, makers and the actors working on something that is deliberately mediocre and dull.
Bradley Baum Now when I say teen film I don't mean a film aimed at teens. Oh no! This is a film very much aimed at adults and the older teens. Over here it has a rating of 15 meaning the minimum age a person has to be to see it is 15.Aubrey Plaza plays a teenager that has not had anything to do with sex or letting her hair down at wild parties so her friends take her to one after the class of '93 graduation party. After what happens there she tears out her original 'To Do' list and writes a new one which involves just about everything normal that a teen would know about but is yet to find out about, especially a teen as sexually unknowing as the character is and ends the list with her having sex with the hot hunk she saw at the party. From there on in she goes through various situations from her very open family to not messing things up in her own way and then sorting it all out ....almost! There really should be more comedies like this because seeing the leads played by women and the men in the supporting roles, a reverse from the usual, put a whole new spin and take on things/it! A great comedy that really should be seen!
Gordon-11 This film tells the story of a young woman who decides to complete a list of sexual things before heading off to college."The To Do List" is a teen film that is so funny. Having an innocent but really bright girl looking through the encyclopedia for terms she did not understand was so hilarious. The two best friends are great too, they provide good advice to let the innocent girl accomplish this task. The obligatory love triangle is convincing and well constructed too. The plot maintains a lighthearted tone, and even the parents are almost bubblegum cheesy. It's a fun teen romance film, I enjoyed watching it.
Raef Mousheimish The movie is very normal, i wouldn't say that it's great neither disappointing, I rate it 4 because there is some moments where i felt boring. It meant for the film to be comedy-themed, but the comedy in it was not touching, and in many cases not a good one. although there is some jokes and scenes that made me laugh, like when brandy's dad, the judge Klark caught brandy's sister Amber with Willey the pool boss, this scene is the most hilarious one i think, it's almost at the end of the movie, so just wait the scene, and watch it, i think you will laugh too. I would finally say, that maybe girls would evaluate this movie more than i did, but for me, it's on my normal and ordinary movies list, with nothing special.
