taracroberts Informative, interesting, well written...what more can I say??? If you don't watch this film, you are missing out. I wasn't a UT fan when I watched, but you can bet I've watched every game since! This is a heartwarming story that the whole family can relate to and enjoy.

blahblah You know they've made a great Texas film when OU fans start a campaign to give it low ratings! This is a must see! Matthew McConaughey is awesome...a very pleasant surprise. Willie Nelson is the incomparable Willie Nelson. And the rest of the cast is a who's who of Texas football fans and personalities. The story itself is a great rags to riches one. Very inspirational and emotional. Definitely worth the hour I spent watching it. Royal had a very special way of leading his teams to three National Championships that combined his unique sound-bytes and a fatherly demeanor. As the film says, he led in a time when we needed heroes, and Texas fans surely found one in Darrell Royal. I highly recommend for any sports fan as well.
