JokerMichel I think the writers of the script were a little bit in a rush and wrote the whole movie in 15 minutes. Make yourselves a favor, don't watch it .
Ahmed-ASG yeeeaaap , just another disastrous sequel , seems it's not just a Hollywood thing after all.don't get me wrong, the movie by itself is very entertaining, Disney's magic definitely shows in this movie no doubt, but ,,, and it's a big but (no pun intended) it's not the animation quality you expect from Disney, it didn't take long to see that, it actually happens in the first seconds of the movie. Finally, I would love to say those "Arabs" does not look like any Arab I met in my life and I'm Arabian, sooooo,,, where did you get that from Disney?
Oliver Thatcher Watson Don't get me wrong, the amount of effort put in to this film is mostly impressive. Despite its watered down animation, and it's generic story, I'm sure that young kids would probably enjoy it. But this film is more of what should have just been a pilot episode for the animated show based off of Aladdin, instead of it being a stretched out, so-so animated, generically written film that would only impress those who don't really care about an actual great story and just want to see what the characters are up too, because that's pretty much how it is in this film. This film is in no way shape or form on par with the first film whatsoever. Now, this film isn't exactly that bad, but it's not good enough for me to recommend. It's recommended just to not worry about any sort of direct-to-DVD sequels, as those films, just like this one, are completely disinteresting and never have anywhere near enough magic to be anywhere near as good as the first films. Especially with this film, as it just should have been the pilot episode for the show based off the first film, as again, this film feels very stretched out and just not as memorable as it should be.
Arlis Fuson The annoying parrot gets free from the lamp where Jafar was condemned and he joins up with the good guys and then the genie returns from vacation and then Jafar makes his way back, it was boring. Disneys first ever direct to video sequel and with good reasoning.I am not a big fan of Disney, especially how they take a story and give it a ton of sequels with a lame story just so kids will HAVE to have it and they can make more money on it. This movies production values were low and not as beautiful as part one. Robin Williams being gone hurt it as well, because, lets face it, the genie is the star. I also hated how he had his cuffs back like they were fancy bracelets because Disney felt it "looked better". I also hated the music with passion, these songs were so outrageously stupid. Most of the cast is back, Godfrey is on board as the parrot, Jason Alexander shows up here doing a voice and Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer Simpson) does the genie this time.It was a bad movie and I was bored out of my mind. Kids may like it, if they are the kind of kids that like all cartoons. 2/10 stars.
