I would not go so far as the other reviewer here does and call this an amazing or outstanding animated short film, but these 8 minutes were a pretty good watch. We watch two men on a raft. obviously, they must have had a plane crash or boat accident, because they look like they have been on this raft for quite a couple days. They are facing hunger, mean sharks and also the danger of killing each other in this short film. It's actually a pretty good character study in terms of how people act in extreme situations. Also the way the blonde guy bites into the fish at the end shows that the mind is affected as well. And the last shot is really well done with what we see when he collapses. All in all, a good movie written and directed by Jan Thüring and I can see how it won so many awards. A bit of a pity that he has not made any new films for almost 10 years now as I've gotten curious about his other works now. Anyway, this 10-year-old film is a success. Recommended.

This is an amazingly, well-done animated short film that I recently had the pleasure of watching. Not only was the animation very well done, but the story and conflict were excellent. I guess it's a German made film, but there's no dialog making it universal. This guy should be working over at Pixar or Disney. I don't know how long it took them to make it, but it's a masterpiece and I don't say that lightly. As a fan of animation, stop-motion and great stories - this film is as perfect as they come. As a result I see that it's been to a number of film festivals and garnered several awards. If it sounds like I'm going on a bit, but it's only because the movie is that good.
