No matter how old we are, deep down we all love The Muppets to some degree. If you don't, you have no heart and should see someone. This film sums up all the joys that the Muppets bring and have brought to us. It's a real gem that puts a big smile on your face from start to finish. As the writer and actor, Jason Segal creates a really fun path for these fury puppets. He adds consistent humor and writes funny one- liners for everyone, while also creating a sweet tale of friendship and delivering a silly performance that may even be his best. This is a perfect film for families and helps relaunch the classic characters' lives back into the fun and silly action for one good time.

The Muppets (2011): Dir: James Bobin / Cast: Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, Jack Black: It has been twelve years since the Muppets was last seen on a movie screen. Now the return specifies the reality that technicalities in films have changed. Now digital and computer effects are a major element of films and here we observe how things have changed since the Muppets last aired. For reasons not explained, Jason Segel plays Gary whose brother Walter is in fact a Muppet. Amy Adams plays his girlfriend of ten years, Mary. She desires a commitment but they end up travelling to Hollywood where a visit to the old Muppet studios is met with the news that a rich tycoon named Tex Richman is set to destroy it so he may drill for oil. This means that Gary, Mary and Walter must contact Kermit the Frog and the other Muppets in order to raise the ten million to save it. While the concept is excellent, the structure reduces the road movie element of the first film to a rush. The climax delivers a fantastic Muppet theme that veteran fans will recognize. Segel and Adams are perfectly fitted for the material particularly during outbursts of musical numbers. Chris Cooper as Richman is a cardboard villain that never really materializes. Rashida Jones makes an appearance as a producer bent on filling a spot. Jack Black makes a hilarious cameo as himself being abducted as part of the Muppets show. Great Miss Piggy intro that references The Devil Wears Prada. The Muppets prove that despite the advance technology, they maintain their sincere cheerful disposition. Score: 7 ½ / 10

...if it were a Christmas movie. A brilliant slice of nostalgia, pure genius. The Muppets go on a road trip as only the Muppets can. This time they have to save the Muppet studios. The genius is how this film manages to combine all the elements of the old movies whilst paying homage to them, yet somehow bring it right up to date. This will not disappoint old fans like myself as well as create new ones. With more celebrities than a whole season of the show,a catchy new song plus rainbow connection and even the Muppet show itself. Magic for all ages.

This movie is hilarious and the Muppets are as fun as ever. Kermit, Fonzie,Gonzo, Miss Piggy & of course the new character Walter. I was in tears of laughter when the Man or Muppet song came on. The other good thing about this Muppet movie is that the show did not revolve around the Muppets but instead focused on Walter and his brother. This is what made the movie so funny. The Muppets is really entertaining for young children and older audiences. The songs are also better than modern pop music. This movie is definitely a must watch. Your never too old to watch classic Muppets movies and this is just like the many other Muppet movies that have been created. Good job to the director and all the cast.On a final note Jack Black was a perfect celebrity to pick for the movie although the cameos were a bit overdone.
