Traveling Route 66, a charismatic preacher, Reverend Johnny Jones, and his seductively beautiful Latina girlfriend, Rebecca, find their lives spiraling out of control as they travel from small town to small town; running their scam on the churches they encounter along the mother road. He's able to convince people he has the power to heal their illnesses and solve their most dreadful life experiences. But what the couple think is their scam begs the question does he really have the power? It's a question that haunts him and only intensifies his inner demons. Scarred for life, his childhood abuse from his evil father won't soon go away. He finds temporary refuge at the bottom of each bottle of tequila and endless grams of cocaine that goes up his nose. His childhood demons will not subside, neither will his vices. In the end, his powers serve as a blessing and a curse. Hang on tight while we follow this perilous couple's journey into the abyss of miracles and tragedy.

pkpera Well, this utter crap should be thrown in sink, right after first watch of someone with brain. What we have: utterly idiotic plot, about some junkie who needs money for it. Absolutely not realistic girlfriend, who wants marriage, kids, normal life. With who ? In reality, she would leave him in 15-th minute of movie. Then, those killings without any sense at the end. Worst end possible. If this was intended as some Christian message, then I must say that: no, such people will be not selected by God for something higher after life. They will go straight in Hell. Absolute lack of logic - he swapped his life for life of victims. Can it turn time back ? All aftermath what is caused ? If this would be some time travel movie, that could be tolerable. But this was not it, despite classified as sci-fi here. Total wrong. Just sick brain made crap. I'm sure, some junkies felt good watching it. Ratings: Jesse James 4Mariana P. Vicente: acting 3 , look: 9Norman G. McGuire: script: -10000000000000000000000 , directing: 2For the end, Latina chick seemed as not pure Latina :-) Life is mostly not about luck. It's about self improvement. In this crap, they did all in wrong direction.
Claire Roach I have just wasted two hours of my life, don't make the same mistake. From the awful acting to the utterly pointless scenes, I am dumbfounded at how this movie has any good reviews. The scenes were so odd and some characters so OTT you expected something to happen out of the ordinary.....it never did! This was pretty much the entire length of the film. The acting was at times embarrassing to watch, from most of the characters. It's been a long time since I have sat through such a bad movie, shame really as the story-line had potential.
Fimano I had the opportunity to attend the premiere for this movie in Dallas last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very reminiscent of BONNIE & CLYDE but with a twist. Leads Jesse James and Mariana Paola Vicente played well off each other and the film employed a plethora of well-known character actors, such as Burton Gilliam, Dennis O'Neill, and Larry Jack Dotson. Overall, it was a really good movie and I look forward to seeing what director Norman Gregory McGuire delivers next.
ulyssesbaker I guess I am a little biased. I met the Director, Norman McGuire, several years ago in California at the Borrego Springs Film Festival. His short film, "From Eva, with Love", which I loved, was a contenstent in the festival. I do enjoy his pictures. He's not your average Hollywood Filmmaker. His work is different, which is welcomed. Keep it up Norman.
