JokerMichel Mysterious , hides secretss and keep you attached till the end Full of suspense , has a great storyline and a little bit dark I believe the last 20 minutes were a little boring and I started to loose my excitements but it's not that bad in the end I won't lie , I would like to see a remake of this movie in the coming years where they could adjust the plot and make it better , darker and more interesting
Hermione Granger This does no justice to the book and just stinks. Though the animation/CGI is great, this is nothing like the fantastic and whimsical book it was based off of, and basically everyone in here who cuts a tree is a bad guy. Yes, it's a good idea to preserve trees. Yes, we need them around for oxygen. But what's so harmful about cutting one? If you have no trees in your yard, why are you so horrible? The person who owns the home with stumps wasn't necessarily the one that cut the trees down! This is not a memorable or likable movie.
Mihai Toma The whole action happens in a fictional world where almost all people lived in a "perfect" city (where you had to BUY your fresh air), isolated from the rest of the pollution. There, a young boy, in love with an older girl and desperate to get her attention, promises to get her a REAL tree. In order to keep his promise, he must venture outside the city, and find a curious character who will tell him the story of their world, with both its origins and threats. It's an animation that's supposed to teach children about watching over nature and what can happen if it's destroyed. Unfortunately, it's not what it wants to be. Its action isn't very complex and its characters aren't as "lovely" as they should have been. You don't really care about them or their faith, you just end up wanting to see how it ends (but even the ending doesn't make the movie any favor). On the upside, it has a lot of funny moments which "wakes you up" from time to time and almost all scenes are very colored, a real delight for your eyes.Overall, it's really not what I expected it to be but that doesn't make it a bad movie. Watch it if you find a copy but keep your expectations low (not to be disappointed like I was).
Mia I barely pause on movies. Even more rare do I pause and never come back. I can never shake off the feeling of not finishing something that I have started that can be easily finished. The halted story also haunts me on my quiet times, so I would naturally come back to it. But for Lorax, I could easily pause it and never come back. I can put it in a box and stuff it in a a corner in the attic and never look back ever again and I'd be fine with it. The only reason why I was able to finish this god-awful movie was because the internet was down and I was bored to tears.I regretted the very moment I pressed play. I now had to waste my precious time and brain cells. It doesn't help that I saw Taylor Swift contributing to this movie, which made it just a little bit more unappealing. For this one, I was just happy it was over when the movie finally ended. Lorax is the reason why I read synopses and watch trailers.
