neenahhh This movie was a great ending to the 'Lizzie McGuire' TV show. I'm left wanting for more, but alas. Nevertheless, the ending worked even if things could have been improved on.If I had to describe 'The Lizzie McGuire Movie' in one word, it would be FUN. This whole movie just had a happy feel to it! I couldn't help feeling happy when watching it! The music was really great and really set the mood for the movie. I loved the last dance number. I remember being really taken in awe when I first watched that performance 7 years ago. Now that I'm older, even if I was never a hardcore fan of the 'Lizzie McGuire' franchise, I can say that rewatching this movie brought back feelings of nostalgia. 'The Lizzie McGuire Movie' was definitely one of Disney's best original works.Viewed on: April 11, 2011
KELLY ANDERSON If this is where entertainment is heading we as a society are in serious, serious trouble. I know she's just a kid and so are the rest of the cast for the most part but the acting is just terrible. The script is a total mess and a predictable joke. The soundtrack is also vapid, pointless drivel. This movie is just awful, awful, awful! However you look at it this movie has nothing good to offer. Even as schlocky entertainment it has no value at all. I don't have much else to say but I have to write more lines so I will just add that whoever wrote, produced and directed this must have something against all of us to unleash such a pointless waste of film on us.
Jenny Jones I watched the Lizzie show with my Seven-Year-Old sister once, and was immediately appalled. When the movie came out, I had to take her to see it, and I nearly vomited. The entire plot is lacking in development, and it is purely Hilary walking around with a boy toy and singing poorly. The scene with 'hair bleached by the sun' is extremely insulting to the fashion industry, which is hypocritical of Ms. Duff and her little girl clothes line. I mean, the singer Macguire is supposed to resemble is represented with black hair, and as a brunette, I know that dark hair doesn't get lighter. Obviously the pop star theme went to her head, 'cause this is almost certainly the beginning of her screeching career.
xoxcaitlin_kissxox I can honestly say this movie is downright awful. The story is stupid an not entertaining (Not a stretch, for those who've seen the show). All the characters are weak and underdeveloped. Hilary Duff is a terrible actress. Every character she takes on becomes annoying, prissy and ditzy. The script has no spark to it whatsoever. This might be enough to keep a first-graders interest, but not for me! This has the quality of a Disney channel original movie,or maybe a direct to DVD movie. The soundtrack is pathetic, jammed with unmemorable pop songs and Hilary's vocal talent ( If you want to call it that). Your gum-smacking boy-crazed preteen daughter will be engrossed by it. But for those of us wishing to spare brain cells, pass this one up!
