I'm a big Indie film buff. Just discovered this little jem coming out next week. I got a sneak peek through a good friend of mine at a video store. Guys, amazing work. Great behind the scenes stuff. I can't believe you made it for so cheap. Reminds me of my dad. He used to make indie films. This director is going somewhere. You have a certain vision along with the Videographer. The actors did an amazing job as well. Reminds me of an old school Martin Scorcese (<-- Spelling?) film. Some DeNiro style acting in these 2 guys. I recommend this film to anyone who loves the gritty hardcore, old school style guerrilla style film-making. I expect to see more and better things out of these actors and this director for years to come.

I watched this movie with low intentions based on the artwork but after watching it I was pleasantly surprised. I gave this film an 8 because I saw the making of and realized that these young filmmakers made this movie for NO money, plus they're kinda cute...... and funny. I recommend watching how they made the movie, it's almost as good. Everyone who cares about independent movies should give this flick a shot. You'll be surprised what they did with $7,000. It's obviously not the best movie out there for rent but it's a nice change up from cheesy Hollywood over the top movies. The visuals were just as good as the music I thought. All around this is a high octane low budget movie that starts off slow but ends with great surprise.

I love independent film and The Lawless is just that to a T. This is a must see for all those who love the Indie world of a couple guys making a film on their own. Rockin behind the scenes. As a fellow film maker, I was inspired and challenged at the gritty cinematography and gripping scenes from the Texan film-makers. Having some beautiful talent in the film never hurts either. After watching this film, I want to grab a camera and make a movie asap. As far as the movie itself, only a few scenes diminish the strong performances from local talent. Clearly, talent is not running short in Texas. I do not doubt we will be seeing much more in the years to come, and I imagine Robert Rodriguez is even turning his head.

My friend works for a movie store and they get to preview films before they get released, so I watched this film because one of the actors is from my home town in Marshall, TX. WOW! These guys did a great job with hardly no budget. Great Independent Film! Absolutely Great Work! The only thing I had issues with was the sound. Perhaps with the success of this film, these guys will have the money next time to get better sound. Don't get me wrong, the movie music was good (could have been better) but the actual sound quality was a little weak. I have a surround sound and this film had some moments that would have been awesome with 5.1 surround. I'll be buying this film and try and get it autographed by the Hoss! Good work man! I wish all you guys much success. I see the next project is Desdemona, can't wait.
