Going into this film, I personally didn't know what to expect. I wasn't really expect anything great, but what I found what a witty sense of humor that was constant throughout the entire film.Among the 72 tenants staying in an old house, turned apartment complex, each tenant had a significant role in the film. Focussing on a large cast of characters, the "72 Tenants" was very reminiscent of old comedy sketches (filled with several substories, but each relating to a larger plot).Following common Chinese values, this movie challenged viewers to stay together in all situations, while satirically mocking authority; encouraging viewers to question society morales.. not just to believe in what they're told, but go on personal judgement.Among the pediophile politicians, the crooked cops, and the greedy landlords... the tenants had their hands full, but always found a greater con to pull...
