Harry is living at home with his Nan (Julie Walters) - although he wishes that she would move out. When Harry discovers that his hamster Abu (voiced by Johnny Vegas) is ill and when he's told that Abu only has 7 days to live, he sets off on a road trip to Blackpool. However, Harry is unaware that his evil twin brother Otto (Matt Lucas) is plotting to kidnap Abu so that he can have Abu as a centre piece for his plastination creation. Otto's henchman Ed (Simon Bird) and Kisko (Guillaume Delauney) are tasked with kidnapping the hamster and bringing him to Otto. The opening scene where Harry is racing his nan on her scooter was quite amusing, but sadly it really falls apart after that. The plot is stupid in this film, but I expected it to be stupid, but what it forgets to be is funny. The whole plot revolves around Ed and Kisko trying to capture Abu and the best that Hill & Co can come up with is to have the kidnappers dress up in an array of outfits to try to fool Harry, Nan & Abu - it's funny once, but it quickly wears thin and it shows a complete lack of imagination. The worst part in this film was probably the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez scene which was just 'cringeworthy bad' and totally unfunny. A lot of the set-pieces were both stupid and unfunny (the traffic cone scene being a notable low point).Even though the material was pretty shoddy, most of the cast were at least game with the likes of Bird, Walters, Lucas & Broadbent certainly being much better than the material that they've been given. The music numbers also brought the film to life and were quite fun. The only parts of the film that I thought were particularly good were the scenes where Harry addressed the audience and gave some of his 'consumer advice'. It was a nice-touch as not only was it quite clever, but it's also educational in an amusing way. It's just a shame that the rest of the film was so bad.I was quite surprised when watching this film that it only had a PG Rating - even though it's a comedy film it does have quite a dark plot and there is actually some violence and some other potentially disturbing scenes. Therefore if you insist on watching it then it's probably best not to watch it with young children (although it's probably best just not to watch it at all).Given the fact that Hill came up with the idea for this film I expected more; I didn't expect it to be as good as TV Burp, but I expected it to be reasonably close to being as funny, but alas it wasn't to be. As a whole, it generally lacked imagination, was largely unfunny, and quickly grew tiresome. If you're a fan of Hill then by all means give it a try, but if you do decide to watch it then be prepared to be disappointed.

The humour was alright in this film, but it lacked adult humour. Harry Hill tried to aim at kids with this film, and not his general audience. It was a silly story and made out Harry Hill as very annoying, Simon Pegg was amazing as a villain in this, and the other tall guy, I can't remember his name, sorry was brilliant. The problem was the main villain was the most boring character in the movie. It will make more sense if you have watched TV Burp, but because it is aimed at kids, it just doesn't make sense, kids aren't going to have watched TV Burp! Adults may find a few laughs, but other than that, the movie is mediocre.

Its films like this one that make me wish I wasn't British. I like Harry Hill in his TV burps but this is like watching something that endures a drug induced paranoia trip. The surreality of this horrific nightmare made me feel very distressed. I have watched many banned 70's horror movies but the humour in this really got into my head and twisted it beyond sanity. Luckily I didn't watch this stuck into some dark cinema made to endure its crazy ..... words just can't begin to explain this. Even the kids watching this film started to get restless and bored because the worst thing is when adults think they can make a kids film and get into kids heads.

Review: I'm really not a fan of Harry Hill so I wasn't looking forward to this movie. I'm not into his sense of humour and I really don't find his jokes funny. The movie was really silly and the storyline was ridiculous. It's about his long lost brother trying to kidnap his hamster, which gets more stupid as the story unfolds. The movie was what I expected, although I did singalong to some of the songs. Julie Walters put in a great performance, but it wasn't enough to save the movie. Personally, I was just glad when it was over. Terrible!Round-Up: If your into Harry Hill's TV shows, then you will enjoy this movie, but I couldn't stand it. It amazes me that movies like this can get a budget and get released in the cinema. I can't see how studios can get excited about a hamster puppet getting rescued by its owner. Anyway, Harry Hill has got his own audience which must have enjoyed this movie, judging by the money that it made. I just hope that there isn't a sequel because there are much better concepts out there that are struggling to get a budget or a studio to back them. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: £2.6millionI recommend this movie to people who are into the Harry Hill TV series and that like comedies about A puppet hamster getting kidnapped. 1/10
