Synopsis

To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. shrills The First Purge was much more predictable than the previous films, yet still tremendously better likewise increasingly efficient than the first film of the entire series. The director portrayed the war on racism as genuinely as possible. The government truly couldn't care less about anyone but themselves, but much less about minorities. Not only is The First Purge a prequel but a predecessor to the actual intention of the NFFA experiment, a purge of the impoverished and minor class. The ending was beautifully executed. As a Native American, black citizen of the US I felt overwhelmed with gratification by the unapologetic behavior exerted toward white supremacists, as they have no regard for my race whatsoever.Y'Lan Noel's performance was exceptional, alongside the final cue portrayed by Rotimi Paul. The amount of black cast members was refreshing as well.
liene-19299 It was horrendous attempt to make money on it !! It was dull , and unimaginative .. and that from a person who generally don't watch horror movies and jumps out of chair if some one comes around a corner .. sorry but if we compare election year and this .. then this one should get Oscar for worst movie made this year .. congratulations ! You won !
bene-85949 Can't believe they waste money on making this movie.
Michael Ledo The first purge was set up as a social experiment on Staten Island. The idea was to pit "violence against violence". People were paid to participate in the experiment and we later discover (plot spoiler...sort of) gangs were shipped into the area. The initial purge was to no real surprise, designed to eliminate the lower classes. The film centers on Isaiah (Joivan Wade) who has issues with a crazed killer (Rotimi Paul). Dmitri (Y'lan Noel) is attempting to keep his gang together by boycotting the event. We already knew the politics behind the purge, so the revelation wasn't a breath taking climax. The characters were mostly lame except for Skeletor. Somehow I don't feel bad when poor people kill each other, nor am I entertained by it. I like it when the white bread crowd must defend themselves. Guide; F-word. Brief sex. no nudity
