Reviews

Bryanhowardhall I'm brand new to this site and I'll admit that I read every review on here before I watched this movie. I should do it the other way around but I sometimes cheat lol. What I noticed about the reviews, and rightfully so, is that they are mostly about the movie in general, but not the main actor. But in this case, the movie (like all movies with the name of the character in the title) IS the actor. Will Klipstine is a great actor. It seems to me his character is misunderstood by some of these reviewers but the critic and other reviewers got it right. His character is very unlikeable in the beginning but as the movie progresses, we see a sheltered, vulnerable child who has zero experience in the real world. His oblivious pompous attitude in the first scenes set up his fall. What's endearing about him is that we discover that he never knew he came across as all those things. He is deeply humbled by external circumstances throughout the film and because of the character's emotional vulnerability, you start to root for him. That's great acting. His epiphany at the ranch and his goodbye scene to the doll are as good as any acting in ANY movie. And the scene when he's talking to his girlfriend (who's also a great actress), in bed is a great, intimate moment where Andrew reveals more about his character emotionally, not with dialogue. Someone already posted about the restaurant scene. Again, the actor is vulnerable, endearing, heartbreakingly childish, and hilarious all at once. I can't say enough about this no-name actor's talent and how impressed I am.
wilhelm-707-601070 At my first viewing of Evolution of Andrew Andrews I was not impressed. The humor of Evolution of Andrew Andrews is not really my cup of tea but the acting was absolutely superb. I followed it through several different edits at several different film festivals. I not only saw the growth in the characters but a growth in the over all story line. Following the journey of the spoiled Andrew from child like innocents to capable adult success, despite many hilarious setbacks, takes the hand of the viewer in a way that is exceptional in comparison to the normal Hollywood experience. Although obviously an Indy, the humor was richly fresh. Even the out takes are hilarious. This movie must be seen several times and each time something new about the characters comes out.
Movie Cyn It's so obvious that this film is a labor of love. The two leads wrote, directed and produced this and that very well could be the explanation for the genuine spark and excitement that translates on screen. It's a hero story, from start to finish, with Andrew Andrews going through the typical, "You've been cut off!" scenario, to an a- typical response and storyline. There are some seriously funny moments in this film and I liked it that, in the midst of all of the comedy, there was a heartwarming love story and transformation of the main character. One of the final scenes with the main character working on the ranch is one of those beautiful, authentic moments of life somehow caught on film. Watch it!
johnjohnson1235 Funny, funny movie! This movie was recommended to me by a friend and I'm not really into smaller movies but this is so well written and the actors are great. Looking forward to seeing what other projects these guys are doing. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes comedies and to anyone who likes a good story. These guys have a lot of talent and I can see them coming out with other stuff just as good. I love comedies that have heart and this movie does. This movie is a breath of fresh air. When you get to know who Andrew is in the movie, you can't help but to root for him. All the co- stars are funny too. great cast.
