Well, this movie totally sucks. The only good part about it is James Marsden, and also he is the only reason I gave this movie a six. It deserved one, to be honest but just for James Marsden's handsome face it got plus five from me. All I'm trying to say is don't watch it. It's just a waste of time but If you have plenty of it and you wanna see a handsome guy, then I'm sure you gonna like it.

3 and under are reserved for movies in which the acting is garbage. the acting in this movie is good.the movie is the problem.jack black has chops, but they're wasted in this movie. mr. marsden also sells it. the acting isn't what's wrong with this movie. what's wrong is: what? why did we, the audience, just watch this? it was everywhere, all over the place, and had no landing. it just sort of was.in a few weeks someone will be talking to me about the movie about that guy at the reunion where he got buttf*cked, and i'll say: "Idunno man. Idunno what you're talking about." Then he'll mention Jack Black, and I'll say, "Oh, I think there was a Netflix thing that sucked where he was a salesman of some kind, and that dude from the transgender show who is really popular was his boss." we'll both agree that that's the movie we both saw, then we'll go back to our desks.the end.that's where this ends.

Seeing names like Kathryn Hahn, Jack Black, Jeffrey Tambor and James Marsden makes you expect a lot of fun. And it's billed as a comedy/ drama. It's definitely not a comedy. There are funny moments, but they're comic relief at best. Having said that, if you reset your expectations and are in for good drama and performances, I would recommend this movie. All of the mentioned actors prove to be very capable of delivering believable performances in a drama. Black's performance reminded me of his role in 'Bernie'. I also expected that movie to be a laugh out loud experience. As this movie it turned out to be a more layered story. The topics aren't 'light': bisexuality, coming of age, posing as someone you're not, lying to your spouse, owning your mistakes. But I felt they were woven into a story that moves along nicely. Just set your expectations right, don't fall for the Jack Blackian moments in the beginning (just enjoy them as funny moments) and you'll see an interesting movie that will leave you satisfied.

Review: I wasn't a big fan of this movie because I didn't find it that amusing and the storyline was ridiculous. Dan Landsman (Jack Black), goes way too far to try and get Oliver Lawless (James Marsden), to the High School reunion and the crazy goings on in Los Angeles, just didn't make any sense. If the director set out to make a comedy, he failed miserably because there wasn't any witty moments that I found funny at all. James Marsden wasn't bad but Jack Black got on my nerves after a while because he was doing stupid things all the way through the film, which I found quite silly and boring in parts. I can totally understand why the movie failed miserably at the box office and I'm surprised that Black and Marsden took on the project after reading the terrible script. Anyway, I think you can tell that I wasn't impressed with this film and I definitely expected more from Black and Marsden. Disappointing!Round-Up: With Goosebumps being a box office hit and Kung Fu Panda 3 due to be released soon, Jack Black, 46, can firmly put this poor movie behind him. Its the first movie written and directed by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, which doesn't surprise me because they left out key elements, like a witty script, in this movie. Budget: £3million Worldwide Gross: $770,000 (Terrible!)I recommend this movie to people who are into their drama/comedies starring Jack Black, James Marsden, Jeffrey Tambor and Kathry Hahn. 2/10
