Dr_Wesker Okay. Seriously? 3.8?I get it. The acting wasn't something to give an award for. Perhaps it's cheesy and you think that only 6 yr old girls will like it and the music. Nope. I'm a grown ass man and I still love this movie. My niece, who is only a year younger, also loves it. Hell, my mom doesn't mind it either. She's 53.I've seen people say "Oh, all the girls were selfish-- they wanted fame and--" etc blah blah. Since when is it selfish to pursue your dreams? They wanted to get their music out there. And Galleria was selfish for not wanting to bend to Jackal's will? She didn't want the Cheetah Girls to become what someone else would want. What they didn't envision. The other girls saw the ere of it as well, after thinking about it. It came down to 'The image Jackal wanted the Cheetah Girls to be, or their family The Cheetah Girls'. In the end Galleria, torn by losing her best friends, she was the one to make the first move to try and repair their friendships.Yes. There were some errors. But guess what? It was a TV MOVIE. Not something made in Warner Brothers Studio. It was something made by Disney Channel for whoever watches their channel. It was one of the last vestiges of the old Disney channel before Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez took over with their bullshit shows. Is Cheetah Girls a teen movie as well? Yes. But it was more like Lizzie McGuire than like Hannah Montana. Was it the best movie from Disney of all time? Of course not. But it's entertaining, the music is good and in the end the girls learned their friendship was more important than bending to the will of the big company manager. They said they'd do it their own way. Is it selfish to follow your dream the way you wanted it? No.It's not something that I'd give a five star review to. But I can remember watching this and some of the 'morals' other people thought was being sent out, I didn't see. I saw the morals that your friends are more important than your fame. You should follow your dream and be happy. That you shouldn't let others tell you how your dream is to be lived. All in all, I love it for the nostalgia mostly, but also because it was a great time before Disney started shoving this bullshit called Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana down our throats. High School Musical and everything else on Disney Channel these days needs to be chucked off a bridge and they need to bring back the old shows. Put Zenon on! Some Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, or hell, just show the old Disney movies like Lion King!Anything but what we have today.I know many of you aren't going to like this review. Either way, I don't care. I had to give my opinion and I had to show my love for old Disney before they started killing it. The ratings must be horrible.
Tiffany Gray I disagree with most of these reviews. I thought this was a fun movie. It's about four teenage girls following their dreams, and they realize just how hard it can be, yet they don't give up. I thought the music was great. The acting was awesome. The storyline was interesting, and the whole movie rocked! Raven-Symone was especially excellent! I even found some moments in the movie very emotional, like when the girls hit a bump in the road with the producer, and they think about giving up completely (their friendship and their dream). The movie had a great message. Although there may be plenty of bumps in the road to your dream, don't stop trying. Never give up, because you just may get there.
Awsomegolfer101 I don't care about what any one says. If you think the Cheetah Girls are bad in the movie or it is a bad.... You're CRAZY Now i watch this movie every time it comes on and i have the movie. Guess what i am 13 years old. You know if you LISTEN you will want your children to watch this when you get older. You know this movie is all about Not judging people, sticking with your friends and being there for your friends in their time of need. I have watched this since it came out basically 4 years ago. I recently just watched it and found a moral that no one even mentioned and hit on except in the movie. When Dorinda says "You should be thankful that you have a mom." You should be thankful of what you have. I feel so sorry for people like Dorinda and i think of how i would hate to be one. If you listen you will understand how being a foster child plays into the movie. It tells you why her clothes aren't so great and what this chance means to her. Plus Chanel bought the vest because she wanted it. Yes she said one of us had to have it but Dorinda didn't ask. Also another moral is if your friends don't like you because of where you live or who your parents are they are NOT your friends. That is how Chanel conferting Dorinda the way she did. Dorinda was scared to tell them the truth about her life because she was scared they wouldn't be there friend or kick her out of The Cheetah Girls. That is why Chanel was like your a cheetah girl because of who you are and what's on the inside is what counts. That is what i think about the Cheetah Girls. They did and EXCELLENT job and should be proud of it.!!!!!!!!!!! Plus do you know how much respect they have for this movie?!!!!!!111
horseluver543 OK first off, all the rude comments was unnecessary. Second,if you guys can figure out that it's Disney Channel then there's a problem, and third the movie was made for kids, if you were expecting something better (like a movie for teens or adults) then go to the movies and see something for a more mature audience!!! I thought the movie was pretty good, of course i don't expect that much from Disney Channel, but in my own opinion it wasn't all that bad. Sure some of the scenes were kind of dumb and didn't make that much sense, but like I said before it was intended for kids to watch, kids don't catch on like more mature audiences do. I personally think that the second one was much better and made a lot of sense. Besides that I thought that the storyline was good, well at least the part where the show how the girls have a real passion for something. If you love something so much and have a passion for it and dream of going big then you should do whatever it takes to get there, and thats what the movie is mostly about. Which is great because it shows the viewer that if you really love something you can achieve it.The acting was OK, it could have been better. I thought that the singing was great (except for one of them, i don't like her voice and i still didn't in the second one). Since I love dancing I thought that the dancing was great too. Sabrina is very talented and shows even more of her talent in the second film. To me she was the most talented one.All in all it thought was movie was pretty good, could have been better but its Disney Channel and meant for kids so if you don't like it then why bother watching it?? Think about that one...
