As my headline says there are some good bits along the way, James Marsden and Cameron Diaz are credible in the lead roles while Frank Langella brings his usual quiet dignified charisma in his performance.
There is a certainly, especially in the first half an air of creepiness to the film, but the solution to the mystery and the general back story is not particularly interesting and frankly a mess.

I found myself in the middle of this movie saying, "This is a very good movie." Now the term "very good" in relations to movies seldom comes to my head, so I have to say there was something there. This movie has something. It often fails miserably at conveying it, and once we think all the wait will finally pay off, it disappoints us again. This happens a few times. But all in all it's a very interesting story that you may or may not want to know how it ends. But I am highly impressed by Cameron Diaz's choices in movies, so I have to say I liked this movie. 7 Stars.

I watched the whole film, but could not get engaged at all. One of my problems was that I could not picture Cameron Diaz, whom I love, in this role. The movie felt very slow to me. It is one of those great story ideas, that was poorly executed in film. There are some serious plot holes, but Indont want to include any spoilers.

The Box is the only movie I have ever walked out of a movie theater during. I ended up watching and finishing it a few months later, and I regretted it. The ending did not at all match up to even the genre I was expecting for the ending. The trailer showed an entirely different movie than what I watched, and I was not pleased with the new plot lines and completely unexpected direction of the movie (not in a good way). I feel like the ending did not match the first half of the movie.
