Neil Welch Tim's new baby brother has a secret: to all intents and purposes, he is an adult in a baby's body, tasked with foiling a dastardly plan to divert the love for babies into a love for puppies. But first of all, there is a battle for supremacy between Tim and this new arrival. This film is very silly. It also has a fairly original story. And the trailer doesn't give you the whole story: the latter half isn't spoiled at all.It is interesting to consider the audience here. Yes, it is a film for kids, but it also has a great deal which will go way above kids' heads (the TV trailer used in the UK contains the line "Cookies are for closers" - what on earth does that mean to a child?). So there is broad appeal.Because it is funny but also interesting, with some moderate suspense. Much of the humour comes from what is essentially an adult in a baby's body (although the film does try - and succeeds - in having its cake and eating, with the Boss Baby (brilliantly voiced by Alex Baldwin) being credible as both baby and Boss. The characters and settings are graphically simple, but that's quite a good thing. The animation is - as expected - first rate, and the "play" sequences add some welcome surrealism and jazzy design. As a Beatles fan, it was nice to see "Blackbird" playing an important part. This film was fun.
ravidenov So... let's begin by saying this: the movie isn't spectacular. It's your typical, run of the mill kids movie but the comedy in it was pretty entertaining. The thing I didn't like was how many of the jokes were bland and boring. Yeah, there weren't as many as most kids films these days but you could feel them every now and then. In the end I would say: if you have time, watch it.

bobby-maddox The main problem with "The Boss Baby" is that it's a Good movie in a time where awesome animated movies are made. Let's face it, animated films are not only for kids, studios like Disney and Pixar tend to make films that entertain adults before children (Toy Story, Inside Out) and this step raised the competition level. Don't get me wrong, The Boss Baby is not a bad film, it has really strong material: A great Story, a solid performance by Alec Baldwin and big message to deliver. But still you feel like 80% of the jokes are made for kids (and I mean zero to five years). The animation had some ups and downs, the scenes where we go into Tim's imagination are annoying and the use of colors didn't always help. I don't know if anybody else noticed but there was so many "easter eggs" from other animated film especially by Pixar (The Dinosaur toy looks just like Rex from Toy Story....). The Boss Baby is a good popcorn/late The Boss Baby 6/10 The main problem with "The Boss Baby" is that it's a Good movie in a time where awesome animated movies are made.
