A sad and tragic situation. This family is what I think all families should be like. They showed pain and suffering and all those things that most of us only read about. Yet they overcame the emotional part of this tragic situation and did what was right. What they have done for others at an ultimate loss is unbelievable. I hope that kids who consider themselves "Bullet Proof" will watch this movie and understand that you only go around once in life and it is not something to mess with. The Abbate's are truly an inspiration and this movie depicts that very well. Join me in congratulating these fine people.

I could write a myriad of things that others have written about this movie. But to be honest, it would just waste your time. There are definitely a lot of Christian spiritual moments in this movie. What disappoints me, is with a 6mil budget, I was expecting some actual game recreation using the actors. Not a whole bunch of extremely low-resolution video clips of actual games from that year cut in between scenes with the actual actors. It's pretty put-offing. Just my two cents. The movie itself is done really well, and the acting is also performed at a top level (IMO), however, the use of these actual gameday clips seems forced and out of play from the rest of the movie, and it seems to remove me to the point I just can't get into it.

Sorry but have to agree with many of the other posters on here. This movie had everything to be a great movie and started out really good, but lost something as it went on. I watched it based on the trailer and the fact that Aidan Quinn was in it (love him!) but I have to say I was a little disappointed in it. It seems like they had a great beginning and a decent ending but the middle lacked something. As far as the acting goes, you have to remember that these actors are trying to portray real life people as closely as they can and that may seem why the acting was a bit off. This is a very good movie for teens to watch so they can see the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of being responsible.

This movie looked halfway decent from the trailer, and even though it appeared corny, we figured that being based on a true story, it would have redeeming qualities. Wrong! The acting in this film is so bad that Aidan Quinn and Andie MacDowell should be banned from ever receiving any future acting awards. The dialog is so terrible, it makes made-for-TV Lifetime movies look good. And the directing / editing just heightens the problems as camera angles accentuate the bad acting. We were able to rent this movie for free due to a coupon from a national DVD rental company. But even at that price, I felt like I was cheated.Think of the worst movie you have ever seen. This one was worse.
