This movie about professional bank robbers is very interesting. I've seen this flick a few time before in the past, and i casually started streaming this on Netflix tonight simply because i couldn't find anything else to watch and i found this film riveting, i couldn't stop watching. Of all the times I've watched this film I haven't enjoyed this movie as much as i have tonight and i believe Rewatching films is a good thing because you miss things that you didn't catch before and / or for reasons unknown - you simply enjoy a film the more you Rewatch it.Takers is a fast-paced heist flick. I don't usually watch heist films because they are overrated, but Takers is good to watch if you can't find anything else to stream.
The characters are what they are. I don't think the viewers need to like these characters, and i don't think that we need to hate them, it's simply a movie literally about cops and robbers.
There's plenty of action, decent performances, and a great film score composed by Paul Haslinger.
The best scene of the entire movie in my opinion is the chase scene in the mall with Chris Brown.
The ambiguous ending about whether Idris Elba and Matt Dillons' character's will survive their injuries could drive you crazy, but if you just look at this film for what it is which is a couple of hours of entertainment, you can overlook what the Director John Luessenhop is trying to do with that ending.

Takers is an action packed movie filled with numerous twists and turns. It has many realistic elements that the audience often overlooks. It has many elements that make it very realistic and relatable to the audience. It stars many known actors and was directed by John Luessenhop. John Luessenhop has directed films including Lockdown and Texas Chainsaw. He also created and directed multiple series including Mind Games, Kyle Kellen, Lone Star on FOX and Awake on NBC. Although Takers is Luessenhop's most famous film, he has contributed and been a part of many other projects. Matt Dillon, T.I., Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, Paul Walker, Chris Brown, and Hayden Chrisitensen star in this action thriller. Having seen these actors in previous action and drama movies is what sparked my interest to watch this film. Idris Elba and his associates live a spectacular life due to numerous bank robberies, that they avoid getting caught for. A former member (T.I.) comes and interrupts their celebration about a current job. They are offered their biggest job yet, but contemplate if this ridiculous amount of cash is worth the risk. I found this movie to be realistic is some was and no tin others. For example, crimes do happen often, especially in big cities. There are usually groups of people and sometimes single people who choose to commit crimes, more specifically, bank robbery. Showing events that also happen in real life makes it relatable to its viewers. The element that makes it unrealistic is how they get away with the crime. (Spoiler Alert) They rob the bank by hacking the cameras in the bank and coming in through the elevators from the roof. In real life, this would most likely not work. Anyone or any group of people that have robbed a bank hardly ever get away with it without being caught. In this film, there are also many hidden morals within the plot. I can explain some of them, without giving spoilers. For example, there is a sense of brotherhood between the guys that the director wants the audience to notice. Expressing the loyalty between the guys is a very important attribute to the film. This is another element that makes the film realistic. This film has a original plot to me because I most crime movies, it is usually shot from the victim's perspective and not the actual robbers. Takers shows what the "robbers" thought an how they planned to get away with the crime. Being a rated PG-14 movie, there is not a lot of bad language. There is some language, but none that would be too bad to take a young child to see. The rating comes more from the effects. There a lot of guns and explosives that are used. This also adds to the originality of the movie. There are similar action movies that have similar dynamics but I have not seen any that accomplished the same morals and themes as this movie. I rate this film 8 out of 10 stars because I think it has a wonderful story line that keeps the audience interested. It represents the different elements well, such as plot, acting, directing, and script. It is a movie that is definitely worth the watch and will keep you on the edge of your seat every second.

This movie was quite enjoyable for me. Yes - The plot has a few holes in it, but I find that it did not detract from the excitement and action of the movie.I must commend T.I on his performance as Ghost, I honestly did not expect him to be a very good actor - honestly I didn't expect much from him. However, I was pleasantly surprised. If you are a T.I fan definitely check out this movie to watch his performance he does a great job at playing a sly villainous character. The main complaint I have about this movie is the lack of character development. You are introduced to each member of the heist team but know no more about them than the car they drive, their name and that they own a club together. It would have been nice if there was an elaboration on each characters back story so you could understand more about them and how they came together to form this heist team.So...If you're looking for a movie with a talented cast, exciting heist scenes or to simply be entertained then this movie is right up your alley. Its a far cry from becoming a classic but it is a good movie nonetheless.

One of the worst films i have ever watched, just awful. The acting was confusing to me. I couldn't tell if they were acting so poorly on purpose. I don't understand how they showed such a awful film in the theaters. The only good part about the film was talking about with other people who watched it as well. It was good conversation to talk about how it was so bad. Most people I talked to turned it off. I couldn't stop watching it. I don't think I would have enjoyed this film even if I saw it when I was 12 years old. I would hope they are going to make a sequel for this film. The sequel should be all women this time playing the takers.
