This is a cartoon in the Aesop's Fables series produced by Terrytoons. There will be spoilers ahead: This is Terrytoon's attempt at a caricature of Frank Sinatra and a parody of the whole bobbysoxer's craze and Sinatra's fans. It begins with a very long line of animals of various types-all of them female. They're waiting to see Frankie! Cut to Frankie (a cat) warming up in a dressing room. You then see some gags from the concert itself, mostly having to do with the audience swooning at everything Frankie does. It's a remarkably formidable audience, given how they faint, fall to the ground hard, only to typically bounce back and run back to the concert.Cut to a house, with one cat leaning out a window and listening to Frankie sing. Then to Farmer Al Falfa (I have to say that he just doesn't look right in color) is trying unsuccessfully to sleep and growing increasingly angry at the concert. He banishes his cat first to the downstairs, where she turns on the radio, then to the outside.Mice then come out to-you guessed it-listen to Frankie and swoon. Al sweeps them out and then smashes the radio. Al now makes a huge mistake. He goes to the concert, throws a tomato at Frankie and knocks him out cold! Cue mob of angry females, mostly cats, who chase Al, throwing bricks, bottles and similar items at Al, with fairly good accuracy. Al escapes to his home. The ending is nice, so I won't spoil it here. This cartoon is worth watching.

Farmer Al Falfa can't sleep. "Frankie" the cat is crooning in the vacant lot across the street. When he shuts the window, his cat turns on the radio; the concert is being broadcast in this Terrytoon celebrating thirty years of Farmer Al Falfa cartoons. The skinny build, the bow tie, the style of singing and the way the girl cats swoon all tell you that this is supposed to be a cat version of Frank Sinatra. This means that the competition is Frank Tashlin's SWOONER CROONER from the previous year. That had a rooster Frank and a rooster Bing Crosby, and although the capper gag here is pretty good, well, I love Looney Tunes and sort of like the best of Terrytoons. This is a good one to compare and contrast the house styles. I still prefer Tashlin by a big margin.
