Original Review Date 11/30/2018 PLEASE BEWARE OF SOME REVIEWERS THAT ONLY HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW. WHEN ITS A POSITIVE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE PRODUCTION. NOW I HAVE NO AGENDA! I REVIEW MOVIES & SPECIALS AS A WAY TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN! I HAVE DISCOVERED MANY GEMS IN MY QUEST TO SEE AS MANY " C H R I S T M A S " MOVIES AS I CAN. Now Someone keeps reporting my reviews. I guess they are jealous because I do tell the truth. I want to point out that I never make snide remarks about actors weight or real life sexual orientation. If there acting is terrible or limited "I talk about that". If a story is bad "I will mention that" So why am I being "picked on"? IMDB? When one of my reviews gets deleted IMDB will not even tell me what someone found offensive. Well on to this review. At their obligatory pre-Christmas lunch, estranged identical twins decide to swap lives up until Christmas Day. each think the other has an easier life but they learn they each person has stress. Now Candace Cameron (or her fans) keep reporting my review of this film. All I can say is I am being fare about this review. This story "has been told better" be "The Prince and the Pauper" "Trading Places" or the endless versions of "Freaky Friday" . What I have said about Candace is "Her acting is limited"! She fails to give each character a true identity. Each has the same mannerisms. She fail to show real grow in both parts. Perhaps she needs a new acting teacher. So her cronies reported me! How nice of them.

I consider Alicia Witt as the Queen of Christmas movies. I have to say that Candace is close to getting that title with this movie. Both actresses have had one Christmas movie a year since 2013. Alicia had one great (A very Merry Mix-up), 2 excellent and 2 OK. Now Candace has 2 greats (the other is Christmas Detour) and 3 so-so (Let it Snow, Christmas Under Wraps and Journey Back to Christmas). I think Christmas Detour was better than this because of Paul Greene and Sarah Strange. This movie was all Candace playing both twin sister parts. She did an awesome job. It was great all the way through. The nature of the story made for constant conflict and change which made it exciting. The movie effectively played music during some scenes which otherwise could be boring. The two male leads were great and it was very apparent why each liked the sisters. I think it so unfair the two top reviewers (as I write this) give it a 1/10. Support Candace and lift up the good reviews.

Candace Cameron Bure is my new Christmas sweetheart. While we don't see much sexiness from her, no hot dresses or anything really close, except for some nice tight jeans, I still liked the movie. She has very bubbly charm that is infectious. I want to celebrate Christmas with her every year. It must have been a tough shoot. Everything around her works pretty well. It tough to mix in two love stories into one move but it seems to work.

I typically watch Hallmark Christmas movies for the drinking game aspect (i.e. main characters with names associated with Christmas, cynics who change and become believers in the spirit of Christmas, shameless brand plugs), so I of course decided to watch Switched for Christmas. However, my pursuit of getting buzzed was tarnished by Hallmark's incessant push to portray the city of Littleton, CO, as a podunk, fly-over, small town an hour away from Denver. Littleton is a suburb of Denver; it is an easy 20 minute drive between the two downtown areas of both cities, and the limits of both cities actually touch if you look at a map of the Denver metro area. It also has a population of like 50,000 people, so it certainly is not the small town that it is annoyingly called over and over again in the movie. So please, Hallmark, for the love of God, please do some research of the place in which your movies are set. That being said, this is easily one of my top 5 favorite Hallmark Christmas movies.
