Satan, I mean, Malcolm McDowell, because you produced the movie and played the role of Satan, can I sue you? I have more accusations against you. Do not get me wrong, I love you, you're one of my favorite actors, "A Clockwork Orange" is one of the best movies ever made, BUT, what's this bad joke? Could not find a better script? Apart from you, everything is pathetic, stupid, deadly boring, childish. Everything is stupid, starting with the story and ending with the play of all actors. Embarrassing! And, is not Satan who invented the noise and all he's accused of in the movie. Mister McDowell, you have to make at least two very good movies, close to the level of "A Clockwork Orange", to forgive you this sin called "Suing the Devil"(2011).
There are a lot of reviews that say only superlative stuff about this movie, which shows how stupid or how fake the writers are. Fake and cowards, because they do not have the courage to tell the truth, that the movie is very bad, probably for the fear of God, Jesus, the Bible, faith, etc. Because the movie talks about all that. I am convinced that God and Jesus are ashamed of such a film, it does not do any service, on the contrary. You are not good Christians liking this film, you are just simply stupid! One star for Malcolm,
that's all!

I can't remember the last time I saw a movie this bad. The entire cast, with the exception of Malcolm McDowell, acts so poorly that it literally made me laugh/scoff at points. Unfortunately the main character is the worst of them all so you get a full dose of atrocious acting from start to finish. The production values, cinematography, and directing are also sub-par (think 80's after school specials), and that's being nice. The story by itself is not an awful one though, so it's a pity they did such a horrible job with it. My guess would be that this ends up on Mystery Science Theater's list of movies to ridicule.

The premise of a trial with the Devil sounded like it could be a witty affair. And with Malcolm McDowell as the devil and all, it would surely not be too bad.How wrong! What I saw was so shockingly bad, that it's almost impossible to relate to would-be viewers. It was a dreary performance by all involved. McDowell's potential was thwarted by a cast that acted so badly that the mind boggles and a plot and dialogue that might as well have been written by naive 12 year old brainwashed kids. There was noting witty here, nothing smart, nothing interesting. This movie is an insult to the viewer's intelligence. It holds one mystery though: How on earth did Malcolm McDowell accept that role? It hurts to have to give the movie a score of 1 in order to write this when a 0 would have been right.

I had no idea of what to expect when I started watching Suing the Devil, only an interesting front cover and some names I recognised. For the first half hour of the movie I was wondering whether this was an anti-religious roast of a Christian film, the premise was weak, the dialogue cringe worthy, and the acting so wooden I had to check myself for splinters. Then suddenly, like a revelation from heaven, I realised they were serious. The remainder of the movie I watched only so I could write this review. Bart Bronson's acting as Luke was especially appalling, as were 80% of the remainder of the cast. I wished Satan had won the case and dragged the lot of the to hell for eternity. As a Christian movie you get everything you expect : straw-man arguments, bible spouting, arrogantly closed minded world views, and presupposition out the whazoo. All this can be summed up in a quote from a pastor on the witness stand who says "Prove in 30 seconds that God exists? I can do that in one sentence, something cannot come out of nothing, its impossible". I think Lawrence Krauss may have a few things to tell you, pastor. The 2 stars for this movie go only to Malcolm McDowell for his hilariously enjoyable performance as Satan, he should get an award for "Acting too damn well in a god awful movie".Oh, and in the end Luke was dreaming it all. Timothy A. Chey must have read page one of "Script Writing for Dummies" and not gone any further. In conclusion, avoid at all costs unless you enjoy having your intelligence assaulted and/or are already heavily indoctrinated in the Christian world view.
