hopcroftpix Not even fit for TV. Derek Jacobi and Dominic Cooper will not be talking at Luvvies dinner parties of this absolute piece of utter drivel, well only if the question comes up of 'What is the worst movie you've ever been in'???
showfna I wasted 1:34 mins of my precious life for this, everything was crap. I should have gone to sleep with my wife when she told me to!!! For the love of God do not watch.
adonis98-743-186503 A British Special Boat Service commando tracks down an international terrorist cell. Simon West once upon a time directed action films such as The Expendables 2, The Mechanic, Tomb Raider and Con Air now he makes films such as Gun Shy and Stratton and i gotta say this film was boring from start to finish. First of all the acting from Dominic Cooper was bland as hell i mean the guy is good as Howard Stark but he is no "Schwarzenegger" type of action hero and that shows a lot threw out the entire film. Talent goes wasted completely since actors such as Derek Jacobi and Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman) find themselves and their talent going threw the damn window. The action sequences are boring and useless (especially the Opening one) and what the hell is Draco Malfoy doing in here? Overall Stratton is a boring mess of an action film where money talks and talent gets wasted a lot. (0/10)
Geoff Boyle I think reviewers are being a little harsh about this film. It's an action thriller featuring the SBS, MI6 etc. Mainly British cast with a couple of token Americans. Gemma Chan is superb, with a different actress her role wouldn't be memorable but she really helps things along. Derek Jacobi, unsurprisingly good. Unlike many reviews, I think Dominic Cooper did a good job, especially given the lack of time he had to prepare for this. Connie Nielsen however was an odd choice, her posh British accent varied in intensity and felt awkward. You can't compare this to a big budget Bond/Bourne/Mission Impossible, but I found it entertaining.
