No you can't get infected with anything while watching this movie. And while I did watch a movie that was even more annoying than this (Bite), I have to admit, this isn't holding up much either. It's more standard and the actors at least seem to try to get things going. Of course there is no real "surprise" here. Be it the stupid decisions the characters make, up to the "twist" (which you should know the minute this starts).Whatever the case, the FX is pretty nice (though some might not want to use the word nice in regards of disgusting effects, but you get the point). The acting is mostly OK, though it does slip into borderline territory to say the least too. Nothing special, but has a few moments, even if you have to really look out for them.

strange blood is one of those movies you watch & end up saying in a quote "been there done that" or something like that etc.the same old concept is repeated here again now let us check out the story it is about a guy who is looking for a cure that could put an end to all the diseases out there in the world but in doing so the experiment goes horribly wrong & he end up being infected with a virus that is eating him inside it makes him crazy & bald almost a sex maniac & blood sucking vampire type guy now the only person who helps him in this tough time is his girl fried/sidekick Gemma.this looks like a below average TV movie to be honest the quality is so much like early 2000s it has that feeling to it but it does however will remind you of one famous film of Tom Cruise Mission Impossible 2:2000 i mean totally it is the same kind of thing going on here but in a different manner opposite of what Bellerophon but definitely it is a take on Chimera Virus.now the dialogs here are way off limits i mean seriously when the lead guy goes you have no idea what if feels to have power & my body is not mine i am just a prisoner,he says that twice i mean hello it looked almost like a scene from a fan made batman movie now here comes the funny part comes after when Gemma finds out Henry is drinking blood she goes"you Fkn drink my blood" with that part over the sex scene start as it is the last option to save our hero the Femme Fetale sacrifices but becomes a villain herself.some of the special effects were nicely done but the film looks way cheesy a try hard attempt to create a psycho vibe but it only succeeds quite a bit in acting only by Robert Brettenaugh who brings life into a very dull character this young new talented guy should get more roles he have what it takes to be the next big thing as for Alexandra Bard she is a eye candy that can act as well having both features beauty & brains what can i say more.Overall Strange Blood 2015 is a film that runs solely on performances by actors instead of the proper script my rating is 3/10.

It should be a telling that a scientist working on a cure for every disease imaginable with a slab or gurgling meat on his garage might not be the sanest person. Strange Blood is a movie of a mad scientist getting madder due to the effect of his experiment. It's agonizingly slow, and with heavy focus on just a couple of characters, the actors and script are nowhere near convincing enough to carry the movie, despite there's a good attempt on the male lead.Henry (Robert Brettenaugh) wants to develop a cure for everything. He hires Gemma (Alexandra Bard) to help him in this endeavor. Needless to say things go terribly wrong. The movie is almost entirely shot with these two. Robert Brettenaugh tries his best, and at some points his transformation does look decent, but the shallow script and thin material force him to recycle the same theme with repetitive scenes too many times.Alexandra Bard is not that particularly good. Her character is supposed to be a brilliant young woman with dark past, thought her portrayal of the nerdy girl is plastic at best. She uses plenty of profanity and it doesn't make the character edgy, just annoying. Furthermore, it's nigh implausible that experiment of plague proportion would remain a secret, at some points the character, especially Gemma must have realized something is wrong, but she is still a willing participant. This just contradicts the brilliant part of her character. The movie utilizes a lot of nasty scenes, some vomits and other unpleasantly visual effect. This is not eerie in the thrilling sense, it's just like the science experiment that went wrong in high school and you're forced to clean it. Its simple premise just drags on with confusing switch between found footage and a lot needless mumblings. The use of scientific words is not impressive, it sounds rather pretentious to buffer the movie but talking to a gasping meat isn't exactly engaging.Strange Blood has little thrill and the relationships between characters, among others, are very unconvincing. There's a lot of gross stuffs and scientific mumbo jumbo with barely any common sense.

Alright. First of all I gotta say. When this film began I was thinking; "Oh god not another cheap, low budget shocker with nothing but gore and disgusting scenes" I've been watching a few of those lately trying to find some good and interesting films. Like for instance the Lazarus Effect which this film reminds me of a bit. I kept watching even though the start and mid of the film has a large focus on the shocking features that I figured out was not just meant to apply some content to the horror genre BUT ACTUALLY function as a well made transition into this monster/vampire...yes you heard it... vampire that is very different than what we are used to. I'm not gonna leave to many spoilers but I'll recommend that if you'd like to experience a vampire transformation film from a scientific point of view (evolution and viral effects etc) this film is one you shouldn't pass on. About half way into the film you start to see whats really going on and I personally really like the ending. That said make sure you watch the credits all the way through. There's a surprise at the very end. You'll love it, guys! At first the film is quite slow. The phase is steady and has us really sorta fighting to stay engaged for what regards my own experience anyway but it certainly pays off seeing it through due to how it begins to unfold in this very interesting, different way whilst staying very true to the Horror Genre. It's not a cheap shocker guys. It might come off as being one in the start which I was thinking but in the end I was quite satisfied with the time I spent. Therefor I also rate it a 6 out of 10 which equals a "Good film" in my book. Replay value is of course a matter of taste but I personally don't see an issue watching it again. The first bits make it a bit hard as mentioned but maybe I'll think differently the next time. Who knows. Time will tell. Regardless guys. In order to summarize I'll highlight what we're dealing with nice and simple: Vampire, blood, gore, disturbing and quite shocking filming, good acting, steady phase (I didn't find it rushed at all. Arguably a bit slow at first but thats me), science, evolution, viral transfer resulting in mutation into a monster and more. Now that I'm thinking about it, it actually reminds me quite a bit of The Cave from 2005 of course with its own thing happening here. Well guys. Thats my thoughts of this. I saw the score and I gotta say in my own personal opinion I don't think you should judge this film on that score alone because I believe it has had a rough time due to the factors I mentioned earlier. It has some rough visuals and arguably a slow phase and maybe thats what has dragged down the score. But take my word for it... If you like Horror, vampires, science and films like The Cave and The Lazarus Effect I recommend you give this shot a go. You won't be disappointed. And if you end up so anyway...well...sue me. Haha.6 out of 10, guys. A good horror film. Better than average and better than most of the stuff we get nowadays in my opinion.Have a good one.
