Robert Hawkins Despite the rather significant flaws in the prequel trilogy, what it did do is open the door for some brand new and interesting storytelling opportunities. TCW is exactly that. Don't let the fact that it is a cartoon put you off. The later seasons are a lot more 'adult' appropriate than the majority of Episode I and II. TCW has it all, awesome planetary battles, numerous space battles, amazing lightsaber duels, excellent character development. The cardboard-cutouts of Episodes I-III are transformed into characters you can actually empathise and sympathise for and a number of new and likeable characters are introduced e.g. Ahsoka Tano, Pre Vizsla, Hondo Ohnkaka. Despite a few weak episodes, though nothing as bad as some of Rebels' episodes, the good ones far outweigh them and the last two story arcs in Season 5 are alone worth watching the entire show for. I hope the next SW series will at least take some inspiration from TCW. Job well done Filoni, to say the least.
jjethender The Clone Wars...... Yes it is an animated series and looks like it's for kids but mate it is definitely not!! TCW writers did an amazing job on the plot and character development. Its no way kiddish like 'Rebels' which is why TCW can be enjoyed by adults and teens. I reckon its one of the best animated TV series to be ever made. Yes i know that's a big statement but seriously TCW is the reason why I'm a star wars fanboy. For goodness sake it saved George Lucas from all the hate he was getting for the prequels. Each episode is amazing and honestly just so interesting. You get attached to many characters and they show a better understanding of why Anakin joined the dark-side. In addition the series also show the relationship between Obi-Wan & Anakin really well. The animation for all characters is extraordinary. Its definitely not kiddish looking at all. Moreover, TCW shows more planets which makes you fall in love with the star wars universe. After watching this i wished i was living on Coruscant or one of the planets with the JediTCW show many battles scenes, different planets, and more interaction between Jedi and Clones. And deaths are not so childish they do show wounds etcIf you hated prequels then i honestly recommend watching this series. It makes you fall in love with the Clone wars era. Overall i would give the series a 9.2/10!! i was pretty upset when they stopped making it
UofSciFi Okay, this wasn't the Worst Movie that I have ever seen. But it was definitively not up to the Star Wars standard either. (but few movies are – not even the Star Wars Prequels were up to the Star Wars standard , so to expect a spin off CGI movie based on the Prequels to be on the same standard as the Star Wars Movies was probably going to be a stretch anyway.)- Much ado about nothing. This was supposed to be the two hour pilot for the Star Wars: Clone Wars CGI animated TV Show that aired on the Cartoon network, apparently George Lucas and his team at LucusFilm were so pleased with how this pilot episode turned out that they decided to release it as a stand alone movie at the theaters a full 6 months before the TV Show started. (Which they conveniently released it on DVD/Blu-Ray simultaneously as the TV Show was debuting and they were able to market it all together)::::::::::::::: SPOILER ALERTS::::::::The movie starts with Anakin Skywalker on a planet full of battle droids when his new Padiwan Learner arrives to help him. They work together to overcome the droid army, but then someone kidnaps the child of one of the Hutts, and of course the plot involves Count Dooku as the culprit.Honestly, I found the story in this movie to be a bit weak (I actually watched the TV Series, and to be honest with you, some of the Episodes were really good, I don't know how it is then that this ended up being the one that was the pilot and released in the theaters, because it wasn't as good as most of the standard episodes of the TV series .I believe this movie was an accident, and if they had it to do over again they would've never released this as a stand alone movie at the theaters (But that's just my opinion)…personally I am not a fan of this movie. It's best and only redeeming quality is that it dies have really good CGI-Animation, and I really loved the altered STAR WARS theme music they did for this movie (and the TV series).---other than that, bypass this movie and just go strait for the TV series which was much better than the movie was
DCfan I finished watching the awesome Star Wars the clone wars yesterday and I have got to say the force is strong in this show. This show has pretty much every thing what a Star Wars fan would want, fight scenes, likable characters and of course different story arcs to keep you interested my favorite ones are when R2 D2 gets kidnapped by the separatist, the arc where the clones and the Jedi to protect a clone base and the one where Fives discovers his clone trouper chip. What more could you want? And it doesn't stop there the animation is awesome and the voice actors are incredible we even get guest stars like Nolan North, Liam Neeson, Seth Green, Gideon Emery, Simon Pegg and much more.At first, when I saw this back when I was younger I used to find it boring and annoying. But now I don't think that any more I think this an incredible show which needs a season 7.I would recommend this show to new and old generation of Star Wars fans.
