Maharishi verma Neeraj Pandey comes in the category of most trust-able and creative directors of Bollywood. After " A Wednesday", he successfully manages to involve viewers in a taut heist thriller.Set in 1987 this film is based on the robbery performed by a group of intelligent con artists,based on true events the movie's art direction is very good it gives you the feel of old Delhi. Akshay Kumar portrays his character brilliantly.His looks his style ,there is not a single shot where you feel that he is overacting.Anupam Khmer is good enough to support, Manoj Bajpai's acting is also very good ,the tension on his face looks very real.Jimmy Shergil is a surprise package,he is fabulous.But there is a minor mistake in its climax,which could've been better.Overall, it's a must watch heist film since Aankhen(2002) and Kaante(2002).

Fella_shibby Written n directed by Neeraj Pandey (A Wednesday). Cinematography by Bobby Singh (Gangster, Life in a Metro). Edited by Shree Narayan Singh (a Wednesday- excellent job in that film but don't know y he dint cut the romance angle from this flick). The film takes its foundations from the robbery of 19 March 1987, when 26 people posing as income tax officials raided a jewellery store in Opera House, Mumbai. Nice thriller marred by bad n unnecessary romance angle. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this movie. Akshay was OK. Can't act. Anupam stole the limelight. He was too good in this film. Perfect Indian heist film. Loved it man.  Akshay shud do more films like these n avoid baby, houseful n holiday kinda films. Manoj bajpai was excellent as usual. Even Shergill acted well. Good attention was paid in detail (very rare to see in Indian films), good character building. Best was the cat-and-mouse chase between the conmen and the police. Nice twist.

Akshay Kumar (akshay-ak-kumar) Special 26 is a rare film in Bollywood. It boast of a superstar Akshay Kumar but in the movie, the script is the king and the director tells a fabulous tale.Based on some events of high profiles raids by some fake Govt officials in the 1980s, the movie starts off beautifully. And its a joy ride to be precise with a deadly cat and mouse game as the climax. Its less about guns and violence and more about two brilliant men trying to outwit each other without a bit of violence. The men in question are Akshay Kumar and Manoj Bajpai. Kumar who most people doubt about his acting skills is brilliant. He finally gets an author backed role and he shines. Bajpai, one of India's most under rated actors is fabulous as the honest CBI official. The men have just one scene in the film together and its a class.The rest of the cast including Kher and Shergill are good in their roles. The director beautifully constructs the 80s India and I loved the old world charm in the movie. Pandey, easily one of India's under rated director makes a fine film different from his serious and thought provoking debut classic A Wednesday.The only flaw in the film is Akshay's love story which slows the pace a few places. But ignore the love story and its an Entertaining Intelligent Film.

AKSHAY got his character so nicely .... multi-talented ANUPAM KHER .... did his job .... acting was the fuel for this movie .... screening .... direction by NEERAJ ...... liked it ... love it .... from my views ... I could say from the beginning of the year to July ..... SPECIAL CHABBIS ... is the 3rd best for the Bollywood industry ... 2013 ..... expectation fulfilled ... well done for the music .... PUNJABI music attached me with its resonance... Last but not the least .... MANOJ BAJPEI .... did awesome ..... reminding me a talented officer ...... his talent reflects on his acting .... I cant remember the lead female role .... she was nice .... and absolutely have no over acting like others ........ sweet romance ... enjoyed it .... Comedy ... after a long time .... I actually laughed at the comedy thriller .... audition arrangement was so good that .... I have review the scenes quite a more .... Overall .... its a noticeable contribution from NEERAJ and AKSHAY ...
