Blake I've been watching interview footage with the director, Jamie Stone, talking about his history and his film making process, and his experience of making this film. There is behind the scenes footage from the production stage so you can see the set and some of the crew. I really feel like I have had a definitive experience of Skyborn.The director has bought much of his own talent to bear in this short film, using sand animation he has created for instance. He has had the good fortune of an experienced crew who made excellent suggestions at an early stage of the film making process. The story is cool, something I connected with personally after having experienced living in smog, the acting is superb, the sound, the this the that, everything is great, costume design, everything. It looks so good you may struggle to believe that they made this short film on a budget of only £10k. I find short films are usually pretty empty with a lot of piano music and trying really hard to be emotive. This film is the opposite. A beautifully paced spectacle.
