first, I would like to apologize because my English is not good, Even if my English is not good however I think I can write this review and some people will understand what I would like to say. for this movie it will not let people understand what is the main point and what is the goal. after 6 year which mean more graphical and technical scenes than the original part however this time appears more and more weak. this kind of movies which have no message. it's just horror for horror, nothing special for the story and nothing hard for Heather to be the one, she own the two battles easily without any kind of fail or even try to fail, she beat her mother Alessa and also she beat Claudia by the Dark easily without any thing interesting. even the Officer who see the blood on the wall and he had to search about Heather he didn't anything. I think it's the worst movie ever I had watched

The original SILENT HILL, which I saw in the cinema, was a mixed bag, I thought. As a special effects piece movie, some of the CGI was pretty good, and there were some frightening moments involving the various beasties and sheer level of weird stuff going on. This sequel seems lower budgeted and less full of ideas, which is a shame as British director Michael J. Bassett handled one of the most underrated fantasy films of recent years (SOLOMON KANE).Radha Mitchell has gone - aside from a brief cameo - and Sean Bean is in short supply here, so most of the screen time goes to the young, bland newcomers in the shape of Adelaide Clemens (forgettable) and Kit Harington (who has little of the gruff charisma he displays in GAME OF THRONES). They wander around a lot and not much really happens, aside from the usual CGI augmented spook show stuff, and it seems to take most of the running time before they finally end up back in Silent Hill. Indeed, SILENT HILL: REVELATION is so focused on offering up acceptable FX sequences that it forgets to tell a coherent storyline or indeed scare the viewer very much.

Silent Hill: Revelation is a twisted ride into hell. It's far from a horror masterpiece, it isn't the best in the genre and it's one of the weakest films of 2012 but Revelation is packed with enough gruesome monsters and seriously sinister images to make it stand strong and worth watching. Silent Hill itself is terrifying, the siren that echo through the alleys are spine tingling and the slow camera pan movement will keep you on edge as you don't know what will jump out. The cast give admirable performances, most of which are wobbly at times but during moments of terror they up their game and they are convincing, there's no plodding along at all, and Adelaide Clemens is a fantastic lead. The monsters are impressive and scary too, the best being the mannequin spider that turns it's victims into dolls and then rips the head off to add to it's disgusting body. The 3D is spectacular too, depth is really cool and a tonne of creature guts pop out the screen, yet again the spider scene excels in this effect where the creatures mouth rips out the screen, I literally leapt back as it protrudes so effectively, a reference quality moment there. The ash scenes look stunning, because the camera is at a low angle you can follow the pathways that lye just beyond the screen. Depth can be affected during some truly murky scenes, but Overall Silent Hill: Revelation is a fun filled 3D adventure that is far better than the first film, and the further the characters venture into the ash filled fog, you will be taken with them into a horrific nightmare filled with demonic creatures.

The fact that this is a movie based on a video game, and a sequel to a great horror film that is directed by a different person made my expectations somewhat low, but I was interested to see for myself, especially since I loved the first one, and I have to say that, unfortunately, this film is deserving of all the hate that it gets. The special effects are decent, and the film does succeed visually. There were a couple good scenes and I liked the tone and the atmosphere. However, the story is so incomprehensible, pretentious, and dull, that it completely ruined the movie for me. The first film had a very strong story (I know some will disagree about that) but this one made no sense and therefore lacked any visceral elements of suspense or tension. The first film was strange, but in a good way. Silent Hill: Revelation is strange in a bad way and nothing makes sense. The acting is very bad, and some of the dialogue is cringe worthy. Perhaps what bothered me most is the lack of continuity with it's predecessor. This is clearly a direct sequel and takes place in the same universe as the first movie, but if that is the case, then why are so many things different? According to the FAQ on this site, the director, Michael J. Basset, didn't like the first film and he wanted to make this one more like the video games that it is based on. When making a sequel, it is okay to take a new approach and a new tone and style, but it should NOT be okay to completely disregard and negate what happened in the predecessor! The movie is not completely awful, again, the special/practical effects are good, and there is a fair share of blood and gore that will entertain some, but the awful story line, dull characters, and bad direction make me unable to recommend the movie solely due to the visuals. Silent Hill: Revelation is not worth watching.
