Synopsis

One hundred years in the future... Due to overpopulation and the effects of global warming, sex has been declared illegal on Earth. When a crew of astronauts hear of a distant planet inhabited by insatiable female creatures who exist only to satisfy man’s desires, they decide to take a detour from their routine mission in search of the mythical star system known as the Sex Galaxy. But like all expeditions fueled solely by lust and carnality, risk lurks around every corner, danger and regret at every turn.

TheRedBird288 You can't watch most movies while you are doing your email. They take too much attention and you loose continuity. But this is a lot like MST2K with its underlying commentary which adds humor to an otherwise dull presentation. You just do not have to pay too much attention to the movie. You can drop out and work your email and all you might miss is some old soft porn pre-silicone tit shots... but you can afford to miss a few because another will come along in a few more minutes -- 50's porn is so much like Betty Page that it is artistic. This is an editing and voice over masterpiece that shows art can be created from flying turds. No one who watches Netflix while doing their email should miss it... or not. That is the beauty of this art form. Salvatore Dali, move over! LOL
pressboard This movie raises the question: What would happen if nudie-cuties, low-budget SF and 1950's education/safety films were dropped in a blender and someone pushed the Puree button? It is not a pretty sight and tastes even worse! If this is a promo film to push the idea of "green" than god help us we're going to have fossil fuel forever. The overdubbing is bland and lacks, well...a certain humor. That's it - it's not funny. Exposed tits alone do not a laugh make. As a how-to-edit training film it has some merits so it is not without at least some worth. Did Mike Davis really have nothing better to spend his time and money on? His calls his company Stag Films but to give credit, stag films were much better presented on their own in smoke filled rooms or during pool parties (at least in their time). This makes Ed Wood Jr. look like an avant-garde genius which evidently he may have been. Mike even has Extras with a Director interview which is even emptier than the movie. Did Mike achieve his goal? Yes, which suggests that some goals are best left unachieved. I recommend it only if you have never seen anything from the 1950's or 1960's. It might be good motivation to seek out the source material.
gunnellis Ever since I saw What's Up Tiger Lilly, I've had a soft spot for the re-purposing and re-dubbing of movies for a laugh. Some of them are awful like Blobber mouth. MST3K does a variation on the idea via internal dialog and gets a laugh that way. The people that re-dubbed the already re-dubbed Roger Corman adventure "Voyage to The Planet Of Prehistoric Women" made me laugh. It's vulgar and funny. Lots of extra archival Something Weirdesque T and A teaser video and industrial films woven in for extra seasoning. Good job and obvious effort put into a fun hybrid of big budget Russian Sci-Fi flick, Curtis Harrington Pick up footage and Sex Hygiene public domain films. They do something with a syringe and male urethra that soldiers used to watch for education about the clap. That's not too funny. Their comments are. They're cringing along with us.
mike-ryan455 We've all seen those really awful Russian Sci Fi movies that are re-cut, ridiculously dubbed and have a few scenes with one good English speaking actor cut in to tie it all together. Well, that's most of what this is. It's a re-cut of an East German science fiction movie that was partly made of re-cuts of a Russian sci fi movie. Well, Stag Films in Australia added some bits involving slave boys and some silicone inflated boobs and pleasant nipples and kind of a geeky framing story involving a water shortage on Earth causing sex to be banned. There were too many space suits to get down to any REAL business here.Is it funny? Kind of. Is it good porn? No. Is it a good movie? Definitely not. Maybe the original Soviet film was back in the day when it was made, but that was only if you knew Russian. But, if it's $0.99 at the discount rack and you want something to feed the DVD player while you pour down some Buds with your homeys as you play nickel poker this will do.
